Sam woke up with no recollection of what happened after he was cradling Steve in his arms during the attack of the shark thingie when Steve died. Sam felt a hard concrete floor beneath him and his head throbbed. He heard an annoyed sigh and looked over to see Sebastian and it all came back to him in a flood of memories. They were vague, the most prominent one blacking out in Sebastian's shop. Wait, I'm way away from the vent. That's where I collapsed. Sam thought terribly confused. Sam sat up and cradled his head. He did feel significantly better but still like crap.

"You know if you stared at the eyefestation any longer you would have died."

Sebastian said, pulling a cigarette and a lighter out of his pocket.

"What happened to the other two"

He asked.

"Well Steve died to the eye shark thing and angel got detonated"

Sam was surprised at how fast his memories were coming back.

"Um, how long have I been sleeping on your floor here?"

Sam asked.

"Hm, I think about a couple hours. That radiation poisoning was bad but I took a med kit and got you fixed right up after taking a good chunk of your research of course that stuff never comes for free."

Sebastian said grinning. Sam didn't really care the fish guy saved his life.

"Hey since i think i'll need a moment before i get out of your hair can i ask a few things?"

"Sure ask away kid"

Sebastian replied slightly annoyed.

"What was that eye shark thing and how did it almost kill me and kill Steve just by looking at it?"

Sam asked politely.

"Well you see that's good ol' eyefestation she was a normal bull shark put through the B.U.P.W.M. program. It was an experiment to see if you could kill someone by just looking at them. It worked as you can tell with eyefestation but the process was so painful only sixteen guards underwent the procedure. Anyways she kills you by sending high amounts of radiation down your optic nerve essentially turning your brain into mush. Some of the med kits contain radiation first aid but not many med kits have it. You got lucky kid."

Sam sat and processed the information before speaking to Sebastian again.

"Look i read your document and i'm sorry"

"Pf ft sorry for what?"

Sebastian said sarcastically

"Sorry for the hell urbanshade put you through no human being deserves that"

Sebastian's gaze softened.

"Wow well uh you're the first to say that one. Are you trying to sucker me into a deal? It's not going to work."

Sebastian said firmly.

"No, I'm not trying to sucker you into a deal, I'm just trying to let you know some people care."

Sebastian just sighed and examined his ring on his third hand.

"Hey i never got your name kid"

Sebastian said, now skimming through a document.

"Um Sam"

Sam replied shakily

"Hey uh did i mean do you have family back home? Because like that ring like kinda..."

Sam trailed off. Anger flared in Sebastian's eyes

"ARE YOU A FREAKING IDIOT OF COURSE I HAD A FAMILY!!!!"

Sebastian shouted. Sam felt bad if he had known that family was a touchy subject for him he wouldn't have brought it up.

"I'm sorry Sebastian, if i'd known that it was touchy subject i wouldn't have brought it up. If it makes you feel any better, I have a family back home. As far as they are concerned I'm stuck in jail for pretty much the rest of my life."

Sebastian just turned away. Sam grabbed a code breacher and set one hundred research on the table and made his way through the vent as he left he could hear Sebastian wishing him luck.
