Sam continued on wishing he could have learned more about Sebastian and decided to ask him more the next time he died, if he died again. The blacksite felt empty without Steve's quirks.

"Behind you"

A voice said as Sam jumped. He looked and just saw the imaginary friend he had forgotten she was there. He walked on. Sam after a said amount of doors reached a room where the H.Q went over the coms.

"We're going to need you to take a quick detour. Some of the equipment in this sector has ceased functioning. You'll need to repair it before you can proceed. The door has been remotely locked until they've been fixed."

Sam looked ahead of him and saw two generators broken. He went over and attempted to fix them but ended up zapping himself in the process. He got up and attempted to fix it once again and succeeded this time. He went over to the next generator and fixed it fairly quickly. He opened the next door and was met with three more broken generators. Once again he fixed them up fairly quickly. Sam noticed he had some burns on his hands from zapping himself. He took a med kit he found applied some Aloe Vera and bandaged them up. He went on to find himself in a small narrow hallway. The hallway was soon followed up by a large room with large sliding doors. Sam proceeded to open them and was met with another large room. An Urbanshade guard was lying propped up against a railing and a harpoon shot from the sky and dragged him towards the mouth of a whale-like creature. Sam saw a multitude of broken generators and rushed for one out of sight of the creature. Sam had noticed the guard was harpooned when in the lights of the creature and avoided them on his way to the first generator. He tried repairing it too fast and shocked himself. The creature was coming by and Sam dove into a locker to avoid its lights. He got out once the creature passed and fixed the generator. He moved on to the next and the next generator having great luck. He zapped himself here and there but not much. He finally made it to the last generator but rushed too much and kept zapping himself. After the third zap he sat down for a second. One of the light beams came above him and he tried getting up. His reaction time was too slow and a harpoon-like appendage lodged itself in Sam's leg. He shouted in pain and the harpoon was retracted towards the creature. Sam was flung up at high speeds and found himself nearing the large toothed mouth. Sam then felt many impailments in his body including his stomach legs and arms as the creature bit down on him. Sam felt cold and everything went dark.

"Back here again are we?"

A voice Sam recognised brought him into consciousness. Sebastian handed Sam a document that was fairly unredacted. The creature that killed Sam was called a searchlight and they were easy to avoid. Sam started beating on himself thinking about how foolish it was to die to something so easy to avoid. Sam handed the document back.

"Hey try sticking on that things tail"

Sebastian said as he slithered away. Once again the sweet smell Sam guessed was a sedative came through the vents and tugged Sam into darkness. Sam woke up with Steve curled up beside him.

"I can't do this anymore sam"

Steve said in a very soft whisper.

"She is gone forever and i don't want to die down there"

"Hey it's OK buddy i support your decision. If i make it out with the crystal the first thing i'll do is try to get you out of jail even if it's impossible"

Sam said, trying to comfort Steve. Steve nodded and the two hugged and Steve went to the waiting room for prisoners who wanted to leave and go back to prison. Sam now alone in his next runs bravely marched onto one of the single person expedition subs and readied himself for the challenge of loneliness.
