SARAH CAMERON FOUND the island room. It was a fucking miracle that they were lucky enough to have her back on their side, but the tension between her and John B was palpable. It was awkward until they seen the room.

Wheezie had shown up sending everyone into cardiac arrest. Limbrey came and ripped all of the wallpaper off of the walls.

The Cross of Santo Domingo could be theirs if they put their heads together. JJ found the tree with the keyhole and that must be where they put it. They found themselves passing Freedman's church then at the tree.

The tide had been rolling in, so the ground had been mush. Leanne held on as they sped past in the mud. They all piled out of the Twinkie. JJ hit the water with a stick to make sure there were not gators.

They spotted Rafe and Limbrey's people hiding behind a bush. They were excavating and it wasn't the cross. It was a casket. And it was just a corpse.

They drove their litany of vehicles away and everyone uncovered themselves to see what they had done. It was Cecilia Tanny. The true treasure had been his wife. The group decided to bury her once again, with flowers, however proper they could be doing it themselves.

JJ stuck his hand in the whole in tree, very reluctantly. He pulled out a spyglass engraved with the Royal Merchant. The cross was at the altar.

The road was completely gone and the tide would make this difficult as John B pushed the speed until they veered off to the side.

They all got out and stood in the water. They needed to get the Twinkie and they needed to get Kiara's truck.

LEANNE SAT WITH Sarah on top of the Twinkie. They've been waiting impatiently as John B and Pope waded through the water. It had taken them a minute to look for driftwood apparently because it had taken them quite some time to do so.

"So, right before you tackled that bitch like a professional wrestler... are we gonna ignore what she said?" Sarah asked and Leanne shrugged awkwardly.

"I'd like to, yeah," Leanne responded before clearing her throat. "I've never, uh, been... like... I'm not... I've never had sex, so..."

"Really?" Sarah quizzed like this was some big piece of news.

"It's best not to believe the rumors," Leanne mumbled watching as Pope splashed himself on accident.

"No... it's not that... it's just you seem so sure of yourself," Sarah admitted before looking down. The next topic was brewing in her head. "So, you don't have anything going on with my brother?"

"Nope. We were friends, but then he killed Peterkin and then tried to kill you. I decided it was best if we just... you know, not," Leanne replied to her question. Sarah nodded somewhat satisfied.

"I'm gonna just not tell anyone that because I think your brother would just about murder you," Sarah chuckled causing Leanne to nod.

"Not me, your brother," Leanne laughed. Their conversations died down for a minute, just observing the nature around them.

Sarah and Leanne noticed it around the same time. The driftwood was not driftwood it was a gator.

Both girls hopped down, yelling his name. They were pretty much defenseless as they pushed through the water, helplessly pushing themselves further and further.

He disappeared for a moment until he dipped back up. Leanne helped as much as she could being unarmed, but Sarah had a weapon.

They helped John B back onto their vehicle while they waited for Kie and JJ.

Leanne sat with John B as he winced in pain.

"Where the hell were you guys?" Pope asked as Leanne helped John B lean on his side comfortably.

"Paternal complications," Kiara responded causing Leanne to furrow her eyebrows. Who's father? Hers was in prison, right?

"Luke was at the Chateau," JJ told them. "He sends his love by the way, Lea."

His voice dripped with sarcasm with those last words.

"Oh, great!" Pope hadn't been enthused by this and Leanne couldn't blame him as John B bled from his gator bite. "While you were having family time with your pops, John B got bit by a gator."

"Like, for real?" JJ quizzed.

"Yeah, JJ, for real," Leanne said in a flat tone.

"What the hell happened?" Sarah asked them, irritated by the situation.

"What happened? I got bit by a gator!" John B yelled, fuming.

"I dunno why I'm being yelled at. I put my ass on the line. We got here as fast as we could," Kiara defended herself.

"Shut up!" JJ bellowed over the mixed voices yelling at one another. Leanne huffed and tucked her hair behind her ears. Could this day just end? "Seriously, guys, I can't take it anymore, alright? Everyone just cut it out for a second. Look, I just helped our dad leave this island for good. Like, he's not ever coming back. He's straight up like the Spanish. Just, "Bon voyage." All we got... and I know for a fact all I got is you guys, okay? You're it. And I've come too close to losing you, all of you. I mean, shit, like you almost drowned. Pope, you were kidnapped. Sarah, you've been shot. Leanne, you were on that fucking boat with those two. John B, you were almost dinner for a freaking gator, bro. So, this blaming each other is some Kook-ass bullshit, alright? We don't do that. Okay? We're Pogues. Sorry, that was a lot right now. I didn't mean to..."

Leanne shrugged along with everyone, clapping for her brother. They finally got that Twinkie out of the water. The Twinkie was all good and Leanne felt relief.

They entered the church, looking around. It was not gonna be in plain sight. Pope looked around with the spyglass and parted his lips.

"Jesus, Pope," Leanne covered her eyes as he climbed the walls. The wasp nest above him made her nervous, all they needed was a swarm of those fuckers attacking Pope.

Sarah got the grow bar, so Pope got to work and began hacking away. They found it. They found the fucking cross. The only problem was is that it's huge.

Everyone cheered as it was complete unveiled. Pope fell, clinging to the wood, inevitably getting stung. The cross, as heavy as it was, was shaken out of place  hurdling straight for all of them as they stood above Pope.
