"I-I didn't kill anyone! I swear!" I shouted, my voice cracking with desperation.

"Bullshit. We know it was you," an older man growled, his tone as cold as the underground's shadows.

"No! I didn't! You don't even have any proof!" I argued, clinging to whatever shred of hope I had left.

He smirked cruelly. "You're right, I don't. But I don't need proof. I just need someone to blame... and a girl will do just fine."

His buddy laughed, the sound twisted and vile. These were the people who were supposed to protect us-the military police. Sons of bitches.

"Let's just kill her and get it over with," one of them said with a shrug. "It's not like anyone's gonna miss her. She looks like she's all alone."

"Why not have a little fun with her first?" another chimed in, a wicked glint in his eye.

"Good idea," the older man said with a grin, and they closed in on me.

I was paralyzed. Terrified. I was just a kid-what could I do? I didn't scream. I didn't fight. I knew how this would end. This was it.

And then, in a flash, it wasn't.

A sickening gurgle cut through the tension, followed by the spray of blood across my face. One by one, they collapsed to the ground, their throats slashed open.

I froze, my heart pounding in my chest as I looked up.

He stood there, tall and calm, as if he'd done this a thousand times. A wide-brimmed hat cast a shadow over his eyes, but I could still see the sharp edge of his smirk.

He looked like he was in his thirties, and hot as hell, if I'm being honest.

But the blood dripping from his blade reminded me of one thing: this man was dangerous.

"You alright, kid?" he asked casually, as if he hadn't just saved my life by killing two military police.

I woke up suddenly, i was sweating and breathing heavily. it was around 3 am

''shit, not this again'' i mumbled

I kept having these nightmares, dragging me back to the underground-the cold, the hunger, the suffocating darkness. I grew up there, where poverty wasn't just a way of life; it was a death sentence. Every day felt like a gamble. The fact that I even made it to Trost feels like a miracle.

But those memories? They don't stay buried. One nightmare keeps coming back: the military police.

They were after me for something I didn't even do..

I was cornered, ready to be gutted like a rat in the street. And then he appeared: Kenny the Ripper. I didn't know his name then.. but when i heard all those rumours about him and how he's a myth... i knew it was him.

He spared me. Even gave me advice. In that moment, I was sure I was going to die. But I guess, even after killing those MPs, he had some kind of remorse-when it's a kid, a girl... whatever.

I got up and walked to the hallways, trying to to get a glass of water
As i walked i see that guy again, he didn't even see me until i walked past him

"Oi"

I ignored him cause i was genuinely too tired for this shit and just wanted my water

But suddenly i felt someone grabbing my wrist, my instincts told me to push him off, so i did i let myself free and looked at him confused

"Why are you up so late? Ur not allowed to walk in these halls at this hour''

I sighed and said "im just going to grab a glass of water" but then i remembered that yesterday i never asked for his name, 

"hey wait, what is your name?"

He looked at me in a blank stare and said

"Levi."

I just looked at him and then I realized...

"Captain levi? You mean? That's you?"

He looked at me clearly annoyed as if im asking him something stupid and wasting his time

"Yea that's me"

Shit... i just offended one of my superiors...
I couldn't say anything, i just nodded and went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and immediately tried to go back go my room, he was now in his office doing paperwork

I don't know why, but something about him was interesting, even though he acts like a total ass

I tried to go back to bed, but i couldn't stop thinking about him, for some reason he was on my mind the whole time. Eventually i fell asleep, but then i woke up, by a person jumping on my bed,

I jumped in suprise and just said "who, what, why who? Huh?" I looked up and they were wearing glasses and had a ponytail, they are also pretty tall.

They looked at me and said "HEYYY Y/N RIGHT??? I JUST HEARD ABOUT YOU!"

I thought to myself, who is this and why are they such a big ball of energy.

I said "yea, uhm.. you are?"

"Hange! Hange zoe! Sorry about this!! You overslept for like hours.. so i send myself to wake you"

"Wait... overslept? How late is it?"
I started looking outside it was dark but on my clock and oh my god, it was 10 am, i was supposed to be on the training field at 7 am.

I started getting up, even though they seemed very sweet i was in a panic. I started dressing and changing but then they started laughing really hard

"What is it? Why are you laughing like a maniac Hange?"

Hange looked at me and grinned
"I was just joking.. heh its like 5 am..."

I swear to god i am going to kill them, but then i saw a sense of mischief in her.. something i haven't really seen or felt from someone in a while... i started smiling..

Being happy she pranked me? I guess i was

Hange looked at me confused that i was smiling

"You... you like that prank? Aren't you supposed to chase me now?"

I chuckled at her response and said "you just remind me of something i haven't seen or felt in a while... sorry it's so sudden-"

They just grabbed my arm and dragged me to her lab, i was intrigued but still taught, what the fuck is happening

For the next TWO HOURS she showed me all their experiments, some of them were interesting, but they just talked and talked and talked....

But then i realized i had to go train, i just gave them a side hug and ran out of there, you could still hear her saying "WAIT WAIT Y/N PLEASEEEE I WANT TO SHOW U ALL OF IT"
But i just ran and there i met him again.. captain Levi....
