Levi's pov

Levi sat at his desk, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the wooden surface. The constant noise of the headquarters buzzed around him, but his mind was far from focused.

The past few days, something had been bothering him. Something he couldn't quite shake. It started with seeing you and Erwin working together more often, talking in hushed tones during meetings, collaborating on plans. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary at first, but now... it was different. There was something in the way Erwin looked at you, the way you two exchanged ideas like you had known each other forever.

Levi leaned back in his chair, his gaze unintentionally drifting toward the mess hall. He spotted you and Erwin, again, sitting close, talking and laughing. Damn it, why did it bother him so much?

The frustration bubbled up, and before he could stop himself, he stormed out of his office. His boots clicked against the stone floor as he made his way toward the mess hall. He didn't want to admit it, but he couldn't help the feeling gnawing at him.

He found himself standing just outside, watching as you and Erwin joked over some map. You were clearly enjoying the moment, so carefree. It made something inside of Levi twist uncomfortably.

"Seriously?" Levi muttered under his breath. His hands clenched into fists. He didn't understand what was happening. Why the hell did it feel like this was his problem?

He wasn't sure how long he stood there, lost in his own head, until Hange appeared beside him. They noticed his scowl, their eyes narrowing in amusement.

"Levi, you look like you're about to strangle someone," Hange said, their voice teasing.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Levi grumbled, trying to brush it off.

Hange raised an eyebrow, following his gaze. "Oh, so that's what this is about," they smirked. "You're jealous."

Levi whipped his head toward them, eyes flashing with irritation. "I'm not jealous," he snapped. "It's just-"

"Uh-huh," Hange interrupted with a knowing grin. "You know, it's kinda cute that you care."

Levi's jaw clenched. "I don't care," he muttered, turning and walking away, trying to ignore the uncomfortable knot forming in his stomach.

But it was there. It was real, and it was bugging him more than he wanted to admit.

Later that day, Levi sat in Erwin's office, his eyes scanning over the plans laid out in front of them. The next expedition was just around the corner, and there were still a lot of details to finalize. As usual, Erwin was focused and precise, carefully discussing the strategy and the roles of each member of the team.

Levi's attention, however, drifted from the maps and reports. His mind kept returning to something that had been bothering him over the past few days-something that seemed insignificant but kept eating away at him.

Erwin looked up from the paperwork, meeting Levi's eyes as they briefly locked. "We'll need to finalize the squad distribution by tomorrow," he said, his tone calm. "I trust you'll handle the formation for the expedition team."

Levi nodded, but the words felt distant. "Yeah, yeah," he muttered, barely paying attention to the details. "We'll figure it out."

Erwin didn't miss the shift in Levi's mood. "Is something bothering you?" he asked, setting down the papers and giving Levi his full attention.

Levi leaned back in his chair, trying to shake off the uneasy feeling gnawing at him. He wanted to keep things professional, but the frustration was growing too loud in his head. He glanced over at Erwin, taking a deep breath before finally speaking up.
