Author's POV:

Aadhya, along with her friends, was sitting in the class, waiting for Ekansh Sir to come and start the lecture.

Everyone was busy chit-chatting while her mind was occupied by something else. Her mind again and again replayed the moment when Ekansh carried her in his arms to his office, when he sang for her, when she hugged him. The thought filled her with a warmth that made her heart race.

It felt like a swarm of tiny, fluttering creatures had taken residence in her belly, dancing with excitement and nervous energy. Each flutter felt like a gentle tickle, a reminder of the beautiful moments, as if her stomach was a stage for their delicate performance.

It was that delightful mix of anticipation and anxiety, where every beat of her heart sent them soaring higher, making her feel both alive and a little bit dizzy.

She could still feel the warmth of his touch on her skin, even though it had been days.

She knew that she had a crush on Ekansh but she didn't anticipate the strong emotion, igniting within the depths of her heart.

She was still unaware of the fact that her simple crush had turned into an intense emotion that rooted deep within her heart, her soul. She herself didn't know the intensity of her feelings for him.

Sitting in the class, remembering those precious moments gave her a warmth she never felt before.

Ekansh entered the class with his usual cold demeanor. Her gaze swept over his face, admiring his lips, his hair before finally settling on his eyes. His cold gaze locked with her soft ones.

At that moment, for the first time, she didn't want to look away, to break the eye contact. She wanted to get lost in his eyes, forgetting everything.

A sudden realisation hit her like a truck, jerking her out of her admiration.

"Am I falling for Ekansh Sir?" She questioned herself, even though she already knew the answer.

No matter how serene this feeling was, something gnawed at her, making her uneasy. She was falling for her own professor, a person who was a decade older than her.

It was illicit, forbidden. She can't love her professor. This was wrong. Their relationship, the age-gap, their status, none of them allowed something beautiful to bloom inside her heart.

She couldn't let this feeling intensify. She needed to step back before it was too late. She couldn't nurture a feeling inside her heart, the end of which was only heartbreak, the consequences of which was only pain.

What she didn't realise was that it was too late to back off now. The feelings had already intensified and carved a place in her heart, her soul, that couldn't be healed.

She looked away, not wanting to let herself drown in the eyes that had now become a scenery that warmed her heart.

Her heart ached, thinking about distancing herself from him but she had no option. She couldn't surrender to the feelings that are illicit, forbidden.
