Aadhya's POV:
The food was finally ready. We made paneer curry along with butter naan, one of my fav Indian dishes. To be honest, not 'we' but 'he' made the food while I just assisted him.
I served the food for both of us while he sat infront of me. While serving, I could feel his eyes fixed on me that I deliberately avoided because I could feel the intensity of his gaze.
"Let's eat," I said after serving the food on our plates, looking down at my plate. He just hummed in affirmation.
We started eating the food. I moaned as I took the first bite. It was delicious, the perfect combination of spices.
"I am a really great chef," I mumbled, savouring the food. He raised a brow while looking at me.
"What?" I asked. "You are a great chef when the food you are eating right now is made by me?" he asked mockingly.
"Of course the credit goes to me because without my assistance you wouldn't have been able to make such delicious food," I retorted proudly. He looked at me with an expression that seemed like he had seen me eating an earthworm.
"Do you have any problem?" I asked raising an eyebrow, trying to sound intimidating.
"How could I have a problem, little warrior?" he asked with a chuckle. I smiled in satisfaction.
"Well, you deserve compliment too as you made it," I said as my smile turned gentle. "The food is really delicious. You indeed are a good cook," I complimented.
"Thank you, my princess," he said, making my heart flutter.
His 'little warrior' was already enough to make my heart race and now he called me 'princess'.
Blush crept up my cheeks, turning them a beautiful shade of crimson. I looked away unable to hold the intense eye contact.
"You know what habit of you irritated me earlier?" he asked, making me frown as I looked at him in confusion.
"I used to get irritated when you used to break our eye contact," he told me.
"Used to? Don't you get irritated by it now?" I asked curiously.
"No, little warrior. Now, I understand that you look away when you are shy and I love the fact that I am the one who makes you shy," he replied with his adoring gaze fixed at me.
"Besides, there is no habit of yours that I hate or dislike anymore. I feel blessed to have someone like you in my life," he added.
My heart swelled at the compliment, a gentle smile spread across my face.
No one ever adored me the way he does. He makes me feel like I am the most precious person in the world. But for me, he isn't the most precious person in the world. Because he himself is my world.
