As the family marveled at the estate, Grandma June suddenly looked uncomfortable.
“This place feels… familiar,” she muttered.
“What do you mean, familiar?” Ron asked.
Grandma June hesitated before blurting out, “Fine! I’ll confess. I might have faked the letter to get us out of the house.”
The room went silent.
“You… what?!” Margo exclaimed.
“I thought it’d be fun! Plus, I needed an excuse to visit this place.”
“Why?” Elliot asked, clutching his Nerf gun.
Grandma June sighed. “Because this used to be one of my spy hideouts. Back in the ‘80s, I was tracking a smuggler here who used llamas to transport diamonds. It was wild.”
The family stared at her.
“I’m sorry,” Emma said, “did you just say… llamas?”
“Yes,” Grandma June replied casually. “Elvis was involved too, but that’s a story for another time.”
