"But we're planning to find any witch." Susan said.

"But surely, King Peter, you've heard the prophecy." The fox said.

Everyone stared at him.

"We can't go to war without you." Beaver pleads.

"We just want our brother back." Peter said softly.

~the next day~

They were now standing on a big cliff, overlooking Narnia.

"Now Aslan's camp is near the stone table just across the frozen river." Beaver informs, pointing.

"River?" Y/n asked, a bit worried.

"The river has been frozen solid for a hundred years." Mrs. Beaver said.

"But it's so far." Peter complained.

"It's the world, dear. Do you expect it to be so small?"

"Smaller." Susan huffed, glaring at Peter.

They walked further, reaching an open area in the forest. Y/n, Lucy and Peter at the back of the group.

"Come on humans! While we're still young!" Beaver shouts.

"If he tells us to hurry up one more time, I will turn him into a big fluffy hat." Peter grumbles as Lucy climbed on his back, Y/n goggled at that comment and Peter smiled at hearing the sweet sound.

"HURRY UP!" Beaver screamed.

"He is getting a bit bossy." Lucy admits.

"Behind you, it's her!" Mrs. Beaver shouted.

The peaceful silence of the forest was interrupted by the sound of jingles.

Lucy slid off Peter's back and ran up to Susan who grabbed her hand and ran after the Beaver's. Y/n and Peter were also holding hands while running. They reached a small cave, barely noticeable, they climbed in hurriedly, Y/n and Peter were still holding hands, breathing heavily, his thumb brushed against her smaller hand comfortingly.

A shadow formed in the snow in front of them, then went away after a few minutes.

"Maybe she's gone?" Lucy asked.

"I'll check." Y/n said about to get up but Peter pulled her back down.

"No, you could get killed." Peter said holding her hand tighter.

"Peter's right. I'll go check."  Beaver said standing up.

There was silence and Beaver's face appeared at the mouth of the cave making Lucy yelp.

"Come out! Hope you've all been nice!" Beaver chuckled.

Everyone walked outside, instead of the White Witch, Santa Claus stood with his sled full of gifts.

"Merry Christmas, sir." Lucy grinned.

"It certainly has been when you arrived, Lucy." Santa said with a twinkle in his eye.

"Look, I've put up with a lot since I've been here, but this-" Susan starts.

"We thought you were the White Witch, sir." Peter said apologetically.

"Yes, yes. I'm sorry about that. But in my defense, I've bee riding these longer than her." Santa said.

"I thought there was no Christmas in Narnia." Susan said confused.

"No, there hasn't been for a long time.  But the hope you have brought to Narnia has started to weaken the Witch's power." Santa said. "Still I daresay, you could do with these."

"Presents!" Lucy said happily.

He picked out a small red bottle and a dagger. "The juice of the fire flower, one drop will heal anybody. And I hope you never have to use this." He said, handing it to Lucy.

"Thank you, sir. But I think I could be brave enough." She said unsurely.

"I'm sure you could, but battles are ugly affairs." Santa said.

He pulled out a set of white bows and arrows and a horn.

"Susan." Santa called and she stepped forward.

"Trust in this bow and it will not miss."

"What happened to 'battles are ugly affairs'?" She asked.

"But you have no problem in making yourself heard." Santa laughed. "Blow on this and wherever you are, aid will come."

"Y/n." Santa called next and she stepped forward.

Santa pulled out a set of daggers of all sizes and shapes. There were symbold carved into the handle and blade of the daggers. There was also a belt onto which she could put the daggers into and he also gave her a lock-picking set.

"Trust in these daggers and you will be the best shieldmaiden of Narnia." Santa smiled.

"Thank you sir." Y/n said smiling as she admired the daggers.

She put the belt around her hips placing the daggers into each pocket and she put the lockpicking set into her jacket's pocket.

"Peter." Santa called.

Peter was given a shield with a lion on it and a sword with a golden handle with a lion also carved on it.

"These are tools, not toys. bear them wisely." He said.

"We will, sir." Y/n promised.

"Now, I must be off. Winter is almost over, and things do pile up when you've been gone for a hundred years." Santa chuckled as he climbed on his sledge. "Long live Aslan, and Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!" Everyone shouted back.

Lucy turned to Susan.

"Told you he was real." She said sticking her tongue out at her.

"He said winter is almost over." Peter said suddenly. "No more ice."

"The river." Y/n realized.
