"Moments, when lost, they can't be found again. They're just gone."

"Mr. Friar I'm sorry that your time here was so short," Professor Regan began, "You were the best student I ever taught. It is going to hard not seeing in my class next week."

Today was my last day at Franklin. I finished up my classes and got enough credits to transfer out of this place. Two days after I got here I knew this place wasn't meant for me.

"I've learned so much here, but I just know this isn't the place for me. I'll make sure to thank you one day if I ever become a vet."

"Not if, when you become a vet."

Professor Regan smiled and held out his hand. I shook his hand before giving my finally goodbye. Once that was done I walked out of the class for the last time and I just felt this weight get lifted off my shoulders.

Being at Franklin was everything that I expected, but yet full of so many surprises. Overall this past year was full of the unexpected.

I walked across campus to my dorm and collapsed onto my bed. My roommate Conrad was sitting at his desk studying for his last finale.

"How did Regan take the news?" Conrad asked.

I shrugged, "He was sad to see me go, but he was proud that I'm doing what makes me happy. I felt a little guilty whenever he told me I was the best student he ever taught."

"Most kids didn't like Regan class, because he's really hard on everyone. You were the first student that actually cared about his class."

Of course I cared about his class that's all I had. I lost everything that was important to me just so that I could come to this school so of course I was focused on my classes.

"I had nothing else to do, but study and do my homework," I sighed.

Conrad refuted, "You had Daisy."

The thought for Daisy just made my stomach turn.

"I don't want to talk about that," I said, "We don't have any food so I am going to pick something up. Do you want anything?"

Conrad smirked, "Changing the subject I see, but yeah I'll take whatever your having."

I nodded and grabbed my keys. Conrad went back to studying and I walked out of our dorm to the parking lot.

Once I started my car up I turned the radio on and put the windows down.

Some random host began, "Welcome back everyone, I'm Rebecca and if your just now joining us Maya Hart is here in the studio with us."

My heart literally stopped. I swear if I wasn't driving I would have crashed my car.

"So Maya can I just say that you look fantastic."

Maya giggled a little bit, "Thank you."

It was just like her to giggle whenever someone gave her a compliment. She was the sweetest girl that I knew.

"I'm so excited to have you in our studio today. Everyone is really happy to hear you share your story."

I shut the windows and started up the air conditioner. No way that I was going to miss this.

"So Maya do you want to start from the beginning?"

"When I was about fifteenth or so I started to get really bad anxiety and I began passing out a lot. This started right after my mom died and they stopped once Shawn took me in. They started coming back whenever I found out about Shawn's and when Josh and I broke up. Then shortly after I started dating Lucas the panic attacks went away and things were normal for a few months."

She said my name. She actually said my name. She talked about how we dated.

"So it started out with panic attacks and fainting and then what did it change into?"

"For a while Shawn's cancer was under control and things looked hopeful, but that's when things got worse and I started drinking."

"Do you know why you started drinking?"

"Whenever I would drink all of my problems would disappear and I felt on top of the world, but then I would wake up the next game and just feel horrible all over again. I just wasn't happy for a really long time, but now things are different and I'm finally happy. Rehab really helped me work through the issues I was having and I am grateful that Riley and Farkle made me go there. Things have changed, but I know that is it for the better. Now I am looking forward to what the future holds."

"Are you aware of Lucas and he's relationship with Daisy?"

Great. Why would they need to mention this to anyone? I wish that she wouldn't have been brought up in front of Maya.

"Yes. Whenever I got back from rehab Riley told me that they were dating and I would just like to wish them the best on their relationship. I have nothing but great things to say about both of them and I hope that they are really happy together."

She sounded so genuine and that's what hurt the most. Maya had just gone through the worst six months of her life and she didn't say one bad thing about me. She didn't even say anything bad about Daisy.

"Well thank you Maya for coming here today."

"Thank you for having me."

"I can't wait to see what is next for you and I wish you the best of luck with whatever you choice to do."

I shut the radio off. I couldn't sit there and listen to her compliment me after all the crap I put her through.
