"Best Part" Reo Mikage x reader

You fell asleep last night on the balcony but woke up in bed. You got confused but figured out that it was most likely Felic who put you there. Today will be your return to the shop, as you got up you heard noises downstairs it looked like the girls were already packing up. 

You got in the shower and brushed your teeth. You made sure to wear comfortable yet light clothes for the journey. You went downstairs and saw the gang already eating breakfast. There was an empty seat between Reo and Aoi.

"Good morning" They greeted and you greeted them back. 

You sat down and ate your breakfast. aoi talked about how she doesn't want to go to college and Felic was reassuring her that it's gonna be fine coming from a second year in college. Reo and Mai ate their food quietly. 

"Can I just get married to a rich guy?" Aoi groaned and stuff her face with bacon. 

"No" You answered plainly and continued eating.

"You have to study or no guy will ever date you," Felic remarked.

You and Reo nodded agreeing to what Felic said. "Aw c'mon" Aoi whined. 

You all laughed at her reaction. 

You are now back in the shop. It's been a long time since you entered, nothing has changed though. The others already started setting up the shop and you sweep the floor dusting off the dust that has been accumulated. 

There are not a lot of people these days. It's probably because of holidays, they go to the city to celebrate there only a few people from the city visit the province to go to their family. 

"I'm having flashbacks" You stated. The other chuckled but MAi was a bit confused. Aoi explained that you guys normally don't have many customers only on a couple of occasions- in short, it's seasonal. 

"how about we play this" Felic suggested placing the deck of uno cards on the table. 

You didn't realize that you guys have been playing for two hours. You are losing hope in having a customer and considered closing the shop for today. But before you could say anything, a well-dressed man walked in. He's tall, classy, and dressed simply yet you recognize the brands in the logo embroidered on his polo and the watch he is wearing is shining. 

Reo was the one who stood up first, based on his reaction you figured out that it was someone he knew. You also stood up as well as the rest of the gang. Aoi cleaned the table, Mai went into the counter, and Felic fixed the chairs.

Now that Reo went to talk to the man you noticed the similarities in their facial features. 

'Is that his father?' You thought but shook those thoughts in your head and went in the counter.

Reo guided the man to sit down, the man looked serious as well as Reo. You never saw him having that expression, He looks serious all the time, especially in the earlier days he was working here but this time seems different.

Reo went to you and asked if it's ok for them to talk for a bit and he also ordered drinks for the both of them. You nodded and prepared the drinks he requested.

"I heard from your manager about the decision. Are you serious Reo?" His father was visibly irritated.

 "You do know what happened last time and since the beginning, I'm not pleased by you choosing an acting career. With all the education I provided you you could've been a hire in my business, a doctor or a lawyer. I invested so much in your education only for you to end up like this." 

The whole time Reo hunged his head low. It's a good thing that there's some background music playing a soft lofi. He wished that his friends were not listening. Meanwhile, Mai tried listening to get some juicy information but Aoi stopped her saying that it's a personal issue and it's something that shouldn't be treated as a gossip topic and it's also to respect Reo.

You were pacing at the counter. You don't know why you're nervous. Is it because his Reo's father? But why should you be feeling this way?

Back at Reo and his father, Reo already states clearly that nothing will stop him from doing what he loves. 

"Have you even told her that you're gonna quit this job?" He asked raising a brow as he glanced at you. You both make eye contact, You titled your head and give him a soft smile. He returned his eye to Reo.

"Why don't you try settling down here?" 

"Well,.......acting" he mumbled. 

"You better tell your friends and girlfriend soon." He said drinking the final drop of his coffee. 

Reo was left there. Sooner or later he's gonna tell you guys, He enjoyed working here but this is not the life he wanted. He has a passion that he wants to continue but that doesn't mean that he has to abandon his friends. 

You, Aoi, and Felic are there at his lowest. You are the people who supported and didn't treat him any differently. You don't care about status and view and treat everyone as equal. 

You were a bit hesitant but decided to approach Reo. "Hey, are you ok?" YOu asked concerned. He smiled at you and said he was fine.

"I'm fine, but I need to talk to you about something" You nodded and signaled him to talk about it.

"I'm planning to quit, I'm sorry" He stood up, and before he could bow you stopped him. "Hey!" You grabbed his shoulders to stop him.

You felt your heart sting but knowing him, it's probably harder for him. "May I know the reason?" You asked. 

"I plan to start acting again, I already agreed to a movie that my manager had suggested to me while you were in your campaign. I'm sorry I should've told you before I agreed to it. I was caught up in the moment." 

He looks you in the eyes as he talks, it's filled with sincerity. He was expecting you to react disappointed but instead, you hugged him cheering in joy.

"That's amazing! You're gonna be on screen again!" 

This time Aoi, Felic, and Mai went to check you both. Based on what you said they figured out that Reo is gonna be back in showbiz. 

"That's so cool!"

"We're gonna support you!"

"Please, help me get a signature from Nagi in Tokyo"

Reo was lost for words. He didn't expect any of this. You were still hugging him. You just noticed this and as you were about to pull away he embraced you tighter.  "Thank you.." He whispered in your ear burying his face in your shoulder. 

He widened his arm signaling for the rest to join.
