Chapter 17 Will Help arrive on Time ?

Owen I'm sitting having dinner when I get a zap in my pocket. I know it must be from one of my brothers. Especially since my kids and the rest of my family is with me. When I pull it up, I see it's Luke who has redlined me.

Owen: Report

I wait about ten minutes until I see there is no answer.

Owen : Please one of you answer me.

I look at the rest of my family. They know something is drastically wrong. I look at Victor and Cory, then tell them to trace their phones.

Luke: sorry Owen but I could not answer at the moment.

Owen : That's fine Luke what is going on. Why the redlined.

Luke: well don't panic, also don't let cupcake see this yet please.

Owen : well that is not happening. Since she is staring daggers after reading your last message.

Luke: shit cupcake I'm sorry I did not want you freaking out about this. But I have to be quick. Before we stop somewhere.

Owen: ok just get to a short version. But why can't Marc or Sean text for you instead. And who is driving to where. Last we got from Dr Roberts is that you guys never showed up. Plus the hospital is going frantic because two young men were hit and ran victims. They are trying to find out who they are.

Why is baby looking at Owens phone like she is dying or something. Then I get Owen looking at us all. Then telling Victor and Cory to trace the phone. When Owen stops texting. He tells us something that hits deep down. That three of our brothers, Luke also my half brother. They were the ones who was hit and run. I know two are in bad shape. Luke is texting, so I don't think he is that bad at least. But then I find out he was taken after being ran over by a damn Durango. We all start running around getting everything ready to go. We have Axel drop the kids off with the Lilly Anderson and her men. Not even 15 minutes later we are on our way.

Owen

As soon as Luke stopped texting us. I quickly call Dr Roberts and fill him in on everything. He told me to just get there safe and sound. He will call the Academy in Wallace. To let them know that the two John dos were actually our family. Plus they are academy. Part of the best academy team out there, the Blackbourne Toma team.

Phone call

Owen calling Scott

Scott: hey Owen the guys are not here right know. They had to pick up stuff at the base here.

Owen: Scott we really need you to do something for us.

Scott: Sure Owen what's wrong

Owen: Luke, Sean, and Marc were in a hit and run. Luke was taken by the person. Marc and Sean are being treated at the hospital. Please go there and be there for them. While we can't be.

Scott: OMG Owen we are on our way right now. Marcus is looking at the footage to see if he sees anything. You have us if you need us. Family first always. And you all are our family. We would not even have Nick and June with us right now. You were the ones to save them from Volto.

Owen: thank you. We are about two hours away. Please don't tell Alisa yet. We did not even tell our kids here. They are with the Anderson team right now

Marcus

Those damn cameras were messing up again. We see the three walk up to cross. Then the feed goes black. There is nothing on it to even see the accident. Or who was driving. June ends up staying with the kids. While Scott, Nick, and I head to the hospital.

The sheriff follows me up to the house. He tells me he has not been able to check on the girls. Then he tells me he wants to look around the house. I tell him go right ahead. I have nothing to hide. After him doing a pretty good search. Even checking my dirty laundry. Then he takes my home computer. That one does not have the Bunker on it. The laptop is still in the Durango. When the sheriff tells me he needs to check the Durango. I start to freak out. I know I have a tire iron in the trunk. As I go to open the trunk. He gets a call about an accident they need him for. He tells me everything is fine. He peaks in the front. Then closes the door. Then tells me that if I hear from the girls or my family to call him immediately. I tell him I will. Then he pulls out going in the direction of the hospital.

Sheriff Ghram

I did a hard search on Randy's place. But as I start to look in the Durango. I get a call about a hit and run at the hospital. So as Im driving to the hospital. I get a call about a young girl who was drugged and raped. Then the creep left her in a bad part of town. The poor girl is only 16 years old. I hope we capture this rapist and hit and run driver. For some reason, crime in our town has went up. Then it was a few years ago.

When I get to the hospital. I go to the young teen first. The poor thing looks really bad. The doctors did a rape kit. There was spermicide found in her. So the creep used a condom. Hopefully she has some hairs or skin from the creep on her. Her blood test came back that she was drugged. We still don't know what with. It's a mix between roofies and an aphrodisiac. I give her parents my card. If she remembers anything at all to call me immediately. I don't care what time they call me. They I silently excuse myself. When I get to the two victims from a hit and run accident. I see that they now have names on there charts. One is Dr Sean Green and Marc Weilan. I know these two are from the academy. They were going to pick up the file my dad left them. When I see Dr Green I see he is in pretty bad shape. He has a cast on his right arm, and right leg. Plus he is in a neck collar. He is also unresponsive. He still has not woke up from the accident. The next one I check on is Marc. He was put in a medical induced coma. It said he had bleeding on the brain. Internal hemorrhaging that they need to do a procedure called exploratory surgery. I say a quick prayer for them. As I am walking out of Marc's room. I run into Marcus, Nick, and Scott. When they explain that the guy was supposedly driving a black Durango. I think right away that it could have been Randy. It looks like I am gonna be getting a search warrant to search his vehicle now. Especially when he is a suspect to this crime. As I am walking out of the hospital. I run into the 16 years olds dad. He tells me the rapist was driving a black truck. That's all his daughter can remember. I give him a firm handshake, then I head over to Judge Browns.
