AN - Heyo! so- I really want to write a Sebastian fic rn. this story has such a good direction I could take with Sebastian. BUT IM LOYAL TO MY POOKIE- no matter how much I wanna.. The next fic will be a Sebastian one... or maybe i'll make (m/n) and Sebastian have a fling or smthn. "Yeah... Robin's right." Lewis said confidently, as if he was taking credit for the statement. "As Mayor, I'll take care of your sleeping arrangements. I'm sure I can pull a couple strings.."
(m/n) nodded at that, unsure of this new revelation. Staying with a stranger? Awkward... He just hoped they were nice and understanding..
As if noticing (m/n)'s anxiety, Robin spoke up with a happy tone. "Hey look on the bright side! You can meet my family as Lewis works this out!" She said as she clamped her hands together, clearly excited. "I'm sure Demetrius wouldn't mind another mouth for dinner! And Maru and Sebby could use another person to talk to, maybe you'll get Sebby out of the house..." Robin trailed off, a mischievous glint in her eyes that made (m/n) gulp.
Just from the way Robin invited him over, (m/n) could tell he couldn't deny. With a deep breath, (m/n) nodded, forcing a small smile. "Y-yeah! I'd love to meet your family.." (m/n) said as he dug his nails into the handle on his suitcase, a nervous habit he picked up when he was younger.
"Perfect! I'll make sure to call Robin's then when I get you a place." Lewis interrupted with a grin, the sun that peaked through the lush trees shined in his eyes, causing him to squint more. "Oh, and just some advice, the townsfolk would love it if you introduce yourself to them.. Just keep that in mind."
The way Lewis said that was... creepy.. as if it was a threat in disguise.
As if I didn't have enough anxiety... Does Mayor Lewis just suck at reading the room??
Robin could obviously tell (m/n)'s unease, she put her hand on his shoulder and squeezed, slightly shaking (m/n) and almost knocking him off his feet. "Oh, that's a worry for Tomorrow, Lewis! Don't overwhelm the poor boy.." Robin's tone held a strictness to it that could make a criminal flinch. (m/n) was glad she was on her side...
Lewis nervously chuckled. "Well- I wasn't- It was just some friendly advice! Now, if you'll excuse me..." Lewis tipped his hat to the two before moving as quickly as his old body could move to get out of there, not even addressing the issue.
Robin sighed before patting (m/n)'s back. "Don't pay much attention to him, (m/n).. He's old. Must be getting dementia since it seems he's forgotten simple friendliness." She gave (m/n) a smile before looking at his luggage. It would be a hassle to drag it all the way to Robin's and then drag it all the way somewhere else.
"Hey, why don't you leave those here? It's quite a walk to my house." Robin suggested after all, no way something would happen to it, it clearly had a name tag. (m/n) nodded and dragged the suitcases by the steps of the porch before making his way back to Robin.
