A Second Chance

Ron is in shock. "She is not the young lady of Salvador?" He asks the manager. 

Manager shook his head, "She is not. The Young lady left just now." He says. "The one standing here is fake. She is not even part of Salvador."  

"You are not Sophie Salvador?" Daisy asks her. She is completely shocked.

"For your information, the Young lady is called Sophia Salvador, not Sophie." The manager corrects. "There's difference of '-a' and '-e'."

"She really is not Salvador?" Daisy asks again. She can't believe that the person who claim herself as Salvador was fake.

"Mam, I have worked in this hotel for almost 8 years, I guess. I will definitely know who's my boss. Also, it's the same year, when I began to work here, we held her 18th birthday." The manager informs them. "So, I will definitely know what she looks like." The manager leaves after revealing the truth.

Ron is in great shock. He walks to the fake Ms. Salvador, who is ashamed of herself. "Why?" He questions her. He grips her shoulder tightly, "Why did you lie to me? WHY?" 

"Ron.... I...." Sophie couldn't even speak. She is so ashamed.

"Why did you lied?" Ron asks her again. Sophie lowers her head. "You know what, let police handle you. Donald, call the police."

Donald takes out his phone and calls. 

"No please." Sophie pleads, "I know what I did is big mistake. Please don't send me go police." She begs on her knees. "Please. Don't call police." 

"You should get punished for deceiving us. You are a fraud and scammer." Daisy scolds. 

"No please." Sophie begs.

Ron has turned his face away from her. He felt awful. His trust is broken.

"Ron, please." Sophia begs, pleads him. 

"You deserve it. You lied to me. How can you impersonate someone else identity?" Ron scolds her.

Sophie sneers out a laugh. "You people are so hypocrites. When you thought I'm Ms. Salvador, you were surrounding me and licking me. Now, that you know I'm not her, you are telling, I'm fraud. What a hypocrites."

"We are not." Donald justifies. 

"You all bloody hypocrite." Sophie yells. 

The police arrives and arrests her in the charge of fraud. Sophie is taken away by the police. Donald and Daisy go to their home. Ron, upset, drives back to home. Hayden goes to the park near his building. He sit on the bench after walking for a while. 

Sophie words runs in his ears. What a hypocrite!

Hayden minds fixes on the word of 'hypocrite'. Isn't he one of them. Didn't he behave the same when it came on Sophia. 5 years ago, he thought she cheated on him and disappeared. He hated her so much to the point he agreed to his friends advice to humiliate her. But, now that the truth is out and misunderstanding is clear, he hopes that Sophia will forgive him. Isn't it hypocrisy?

Hayden looks up to the clear starry sky. The sky look exactly the same as that day of their college, when he and Sophia where in the park for their date. Sophia wanted to go on a walk with Hayden, so came to park. After walking and talking, they sat on a bench and look at the sky. Sophia rested her head on his shoulder, while Hayden rested his cheeks on her head as they watched the starry sky, together.

Under the starry sky, Sophia stands at the window of her room to gaze. She also remembers their date under the star. She still remembers Hayden walked her back to dormitory. She was unwilling to part, so was Hayden. They kissed deeply under the stars as goodbyes. Thinkin about those memories, a smile appears on her lips. 

Phone starts to ring. Sophia takes her phone which was on the bed. "Yes, missy." She answers the call.

"Mam, the meeting starts in 10 minutes." Missy informs her.

"ok." She says and disconnects the call. She goes to her study desk, opening her laptop, she connects the video call. The conference call is for French perfume expert for the new perfumes. For the first time, Sophia was called an expert. She wanted something unique. Something fresh. Something different.

The call went on for an hour, where the expert discuss with the about the flavors. Their ideas of blending. Their concepts. Overall the conference call was very productive as both the sides shares their ideas and discussed it in a very calm manner. Each and everyone who attended the meeting were happy about the end results. The meeting ended in a good note.

After meeting got ended, Sophia changes into her night wear. She lie down on her bed staring at the white ceiling. Thinking about Hayden. She shakes her head, she should stop thinking about him and move on. She starts to think about the work she has to complete. As she thinks about work, she feel sleepy. And slept.

Sophia gets ready for work. As usual, every morning, she and her dad have breakfast together. They peacefully have their breakfast. Her dad keeps on glancing at her. Sophia was busy reading news on her tablet. "Dad, what do you want?" She asks her dad.

James laughs, "Dear, how do you know I want something?" 

Sophia looks at him and give him 'I-know-you-well' look. "Tell me."

James sighs, "My daughter knows me to well. It's about the contract with Trevor's company."

"Do you want to sign the contract with them?" Sophia asks clearly, without beating the bush. Straightforward.

"You see, Trevor's are family friends." James tries to reason with his daughter. 

Sophia nods her head, listening clearly, "I don't mind if that what you want. You want to sign the contract, we can sign the contract."

James smiles. "Great. Because Trevor has been contacting me a lot. Even at office while I'm working. It really gave me a big headache."

"Dad. You are the CEO." Sophia says. Reminding him about his position.

"You are the next CEO, of course I have to take consent of yours as well." James says.

"About that, dad are you sure, you want to give me this position?" Sophia asks him. For the nth time. From the day, she was informed that James wanted her to take over the position. She wasn't sure whether she could handle such a big responsibility. Will she able to manage such a big business empires as well as her dad did? She has that doubt.

James smiles, "I am 100% sure. You are capable of doing a great work. I can with peaceful and comfortable mind handover Salvador group to you. Because you are capable and worth enough for it." James is very convince about it.
