A Second Chance

"Mam. There's a bouquet for you." Missy says, entering Sophia's office. "Its from Mr. Hayden." She informs. Places the bouquet on the table.

Seeing the fresh flowers she smiles. 

"It's the fourth one in this month." Missy updates. "Plus, the breakfast and lunch boxes he delivered. He is crazy in love with you."

"He is." Sophia clicks the photo of flowers and send him. Thanking him for the flowers. "Let go for the meeting." She busy herself with work.

Hayden replies back, 'Don't forget tonight's appointment.'

It's been 3 months since they got back together. Hayden and Sophia are reconnecting again. Trying to get to know each other all over again. Rekindling with each other.

James was very happy when he knew they were dating again. His wish came true. He is literally shipping them. It sometimes annoys Sophia a lot. Her dad has become more like his dad. No offense. She likes it that her dad has found a son in Hayden. 

Sophia reaches the club. Hayden and his friends have already arrived. When they found about Sophia's real identity. They were shocked. They couldn't believe it. How they found out? Well, Sophia's interview was broadcasted in the TV and it was also uploaded in the YouTube. The interview features her life and work. The projects she runs: Shelter for abandoned animals. She has been volunteering since she was a child. When she was in college, she heard that the shelter was facing financial problems and was going to be shut down. So she bought the shelter to provide shelters to the animals like dog, who has been abandoned by the owner.

Her interview gain many views. She was also in the trending list. People finally knows what Sophia Salvador is, how she looks, what inspires her, how is she in personal life. Highlighting her.

Hayden's friends were shocked when the interview released. Especially Ron, for him, it was as of the ground beneath him as disappeared. He was so embarrassed. He couldn't talk to Hayden for like weeks. 

"Hey." Hayden greets Sophia who entered the private room. He gives her a quick kiss. "Come." He takes her hand and lead her to sit beside him.

Sophia greets everyone, though there was awkwardness between them. She couldn't forgot how they treated her. She also remember each and every words they said about her. Words can have great power. We can forget somethings but we can't forgot the words said against us. They are hard to forget. 

Sophia sits gracefully, Hayden talking to her about his day and asking about her day. It looked like they are busy in their own world. 

Rona and Donald couldn't bring themselves to talk to Sophia. They couldn't even look at her. Mustering all the courage he had, Ron calls Sophia. She looks at him, Ron takes a deep breath, "I want to apologize for misbehaving with you before. I'm really sorry. Hope you could forgive me."

"Same." Donald speaks. "I want to apologize as well. I'm extremely sorry."

Sophia looks Hayden, he smiles gently, "It's okay." She replies. She might have forgiven them but this topic has become a knot in her heart. She would never forget the way the behaved with her. Or she might forget about it as time passes. As they say, time heals everything.

"Let's relax and enjoy." Hayden breaks the moment. "Had dinner?" He asks Sophia. She nods her head. "OK." Tell me if you want something." 

"Will do." Sophia smiles. Their relation is going in Good direction. Smooth and steady. The got mature enough to know the value and worth of their relationship.

Hayden gets busy with his friends, Ron and Donald who are busy with other friends.

The door of the room opens. Brian enters the room. Stunning everyone in the room. Hayden is surprised seeing Brian. Sophia is excited. "Brian." She greets him with a hug. Stunning everyone. 

Hayden stands, "Hey." He greets. Acknowledging him a little as he is Sophia's childhood friend.

"Hi." Brian greets, waving his hand. He smiles and sit besides her. He and Sophia began their conversation and becomes so engross that they forgot about the rest of people in the room. Even Hayden, Sophia's attention is fully on Brian. As they discuss about the series Brian and Sophia are planning to producing next. Theme was very exciting and captivating. Making them thrill about the show. As they are going to work together after 2-3 years. They are excited about the work.

"Sophia." Hayden calls her. Sophia turns her to look at him while listening to Brian. "You're phone is ringing." He informs her. 

"Oh thank." She looks at the caller name, "Excuse me, I have yo take this." She excuses herself and walks out of room to answer the call.

Brian and Hayden gaze each other. Hayden still finds it difficult to approach him.

"You got back together?" Brian asks.

"We did." Hayden confirms.

Brian nods his head. "Great."

"You look unpleasant about it?" Hayden asks.

"Its not like that." Brian replies, "Sophia is my friend. I just don't want my best friend to get hurt. As simple."

"I don't want to hurt her either." Hayden tells. "She is important to me."

"Same. She is important to me as well. She is the only person who believed in me. The one who valued me when no one did." His gaze looked deep. "She's a friend for whom I always wished for best."

"You both are very close." Hayden tells, "You know almost like..."

"Family." Brian completes. "That right. She is like family to me. More than my own family."

Hayden nods his head, "Rest assure. I will make sure that she's happy." Hayden promises.

"That's good. Remember it. If you do something that will make her sad or hurt. I swear I will make you pay the price." Brian gives him a deadly stare. He became a protective brother. The protective brother aura emitting from his body strong. He looks strong at that moment. A brother who protect his sister at any cost.

"I understand. I will not do anything that will hurt her." Hayden promise. "I just want her to be happy."

"That Good to hear." Brian says.
