Deadly insecurities

I’m definitely in a dream, just need to wake up and then everything will be back to normal.

“Amelia?” he called to get my attention and that did cause I snapped back into reality.

“Hmmm” I said.

“So you wanna hang out with me?” He asked again.

Isn’t this the part where I snapped back to reality or wake up from my beautiful dream?

Why the hell am I not snapping back into reality!?

“Amelia” drey said waving his hand in front of my face.

“Yeah… sure” I quickly said and he smiled.
He smiled cause I said yes?

And I haven’t woken up from my dream?
So this is real?

Class ended and drey bid me goodbye.

“I will text the location and time to you” he said and left

Yes, he has my number cause I gave it him, only because he asked for it.

“you said you’d come early” I heard Evelyn’s voice.

“im sorry, emergency” I smiled apologetically.

“You never come early, always bringing up an excuse” Mira chipped in and I glared at her while she chuckled.

“Let’s eat something before the next class, am hungry” I said and they all agreed.

We went to Evelyn’s hostel room to chill before the next class

Mira and I don’t stay in the hostel.

I was eating the food I bought from the restaurant while Evelyn and Mira were eating what they bought while we were walking to the hostel.

They were talking while I just listened as usual when Layla came in.

“you guys didn’t tell there was a hang out!” She screamed.

She was Evelyn’s roommate.

She’s so fucking loud, her voice was at the top of the world.

I could swear I felt my head ring with the noise.

“You were engrossed with talking to Debra so we left” Mira replied.

“Ohh but you guys should have called me” she pouted as she sat down.

My phone rang and it was Lucy calling.

“Where are you?” she asked immediately I picked.

“In the hostel” I answered.

She actually called to ask me that? Well that’s new cause she has never done that.

“oh okay, you’re waiting for the next class right?” she said again.

“Sure why not” I smiled and she hang up.

When I got off the call, Layla and Mira were already on each other’s throat with an argument, like don’t they ever get tired of arguing.

I and Evelyn were just looking at them and laughing.

Finally the class was over, time to go home.
I said goodbye to all of them and met with Ava and Lucy.

As usual they asked why am still covering my face and I shrugged it off as usual.

Got home tired as hell.

The door was locked indicating mom wasn’t at home, I entered and went straight to my room.

I came back down to get something to eat.

There was nothing!

Mom usually cooks before leaving.

What the hell happened today?

I sighed and made pancakes to eat.

I was eating on the kitchen counter when the door opened and Carlos entered.

“urghhhh am hungry” he complained as he entered the kitchen.

He made to take my pancakes and I slapped his hands off.

“make your own” I said as I took the plate of pancakes leaving the kitchen.

“I could hear growl and I smiled triumphantly.

EVENING
A knock on my door woke me up from sleep.
I laziness got up and dragged my body to the door.

It was mom.

“Dress up, we are going to the hospital” she said and left immediately, living no room for arguments.

I sighed and went to the bathroom.

I splashed water on my face to wake me up fully.
I sighed at my reflection in the mirror.

“Stupid skin disease, stupid long neck, stupid face”  I muttered as I took my bath.

I came down fully dressed in my usual cargo pants and big shirt with a face cap.

I skipped the nose mask to avoid mom’s lecture.
“ready!!” I yelled as I got down.

“Let’s go!” mom as she took her keys from the table and we headed out.

“Your brother said you refused to give him any pancakes” my mom started inside the car as we drove to the Hospital.

“He wanted to reap where he did not sow” I argued and see glared at me.

“There was an emergency at the hospital so I couldn’t cook, you should have allowed him eat, he was looking so hungry when I came back” she complained

“He should have made something to eat” I retorted and see glared hard at me again.

I just turned my head towards the window and the car was quiet till we got to the hospital.

CITY HOSPITAL

Another round of check up and scans.

I do this every month but it never works, I don’t know my parents waste money on this.

The doctor turned to my mom and she followed him outside leaving me on the hospital bed.

“There nothing we can do anymore, I think that’s just the way her skin is” the doctor said to my mom.

Yeah.. I could hear them even though they were whispering.

I have extremely good ears.

“That’s not possible, she wasn’t born like this” my mom complained.

“I don’t know what to do anymore, we’ve tried our best” he said again as they walked away.

I sighed and my phone pinged.

A text from drey

Yay!!

The only thing that can brighten up my mood.

“hey wassup, Let’s meat at Susie’s hamburgers, by 4pm after class”

I read the text and smiled.

I quickly replied.

“Sure”

After replying I thought maybe it was short, but I have nothing else to say so let leave it like that.
Mom came in afterwards and we left the hospital.

Another dose of drugs and bunch of skin products.

Damn am tired of this stuff.

“don’t forget to take the drugs and use the cream” mom sad handing me the leather bag.

I sluggishly took it and went straight to my room.

“Be back down in 5mins for dinner” mom yelled as I walked upstairs.

I just finished changing into my shorts and shirt
my door flew open.

"get the fuck out you bastard" I said immediately I saw the person at the door and he smirked.
