Losing someone,
Is like getting crushed,
Each bone fractured,
Leaving you bleeding,
Paralysed on the floor,
Consumed by the pain,
Pain so deep it turns into numbness,
Your mind unable to grasp the loss,
As it tries to cling to them,
Trying to keep their things, their voice, their face,
Never wanting to forget them,
Afraid that they would become a memory,
And so it happens the face, the voice, blur with time,
Fading into a distinct fog as life moves on,
And yet,
It doesn't help,
Because there's a part of your heart,
Which feels empty,
As if they carried it with them,
As if it stopped existing with them.
