☆ ☆ Y/n POV ☆ ☆
The platform came to a stop after about a minute of spinning and the intercom said the number 10, we decided to just find another group of 5 and were quickly able to find one and ran into one of the 15 open doors around the edge of the room. Someone closed the door and a few people stood in front of it to keep it closed. I looked over at a timer that was attached to the wall in the room and there was only about 30 seconds left for people to find a room. In-Ho stood next to me in one of the corners of the room "Are you alright?" He put a hand on my shoulder as I looked up at him "Yeah. Just a little stressed." He nodded and gave me a look that told me he understood what I was thinking. When the timer ran out the door locked itself and there were a few gunshots outside the room and then silence that lasted a minute or 2 before the door unlocked again and everyone collected back at the center before it started spinning again. I instinctively grabbed onto In-Ho who had remained next to me. The platform stopped again and the number 6 was announced over the intercom. We needed one more person. Jun-Hee ran off and found a women she'd met earlier in the game, I assumed. And we all ran into a room, almost entering a room with people in it this time. Less of the doors had opened this round. We all waited for the timer to run out and we all waited by the door to keep it closed. Once the timer ran out there were more gunshots. Much more than the first round, and more time went by before the door unlocked. Once it opened we all went back to the platform, all 6 of us staying together. The platform spun again, it felt like a longer amount of time than the other 2 rounds. Once it stopped the number 3 was announced over the intercom and we broke up into 2 groups of 3 from our original 6. I was with In-Ho and the woman Jun-Hee had brought to our group. We ran into a room and waited for the door to lock again, only about 5 seconds on the timer this time. I couldn't tell if the time was getting shorter or if it was become more and more difficult to find a room with less and less of the doors opening for each round. The door locked again and there were gunshots outside this time. I decided to get to know the woman with us while we waited to be let out. "So, what's your name?" I asked simply and she looked at me, a small smile crossing her face "Se-Mi. What's your guys' names?" She looked between me and In-Ho. "I'm y/n, and this is In-Ho." She nodded and the door unlocked. As we walked back to the platform she gave us a small "nice to meet you" as we looked for the rest of our group. We finally found them and the platform started spinning again. "The number for the last round is 2" the intercom announced as the platform came to a stop and immediately In-Ho grabbed me by the arm. We started looking through the little windows on the doors to find an empty room and were unable to find one. We saw a room with what looked like 1 person in it and In-Ho took full advantage of it. He grabbed the man from behind and put him in a choke hold and dragged him out of the room "Go!" I panicked and ran into the room and realized a man standing in the corner. We're fucked, we're going to die in here. In-Ho came into the room and I held the door closed as he went to the man in the corner "Out." His voice was cold. "But we were here first you can't ju-" he was cut off as In-Ho walked over to him and the door locked. I started to panic internally, fully convinced we were going to die. I heard struggling in the corner of the room and turned around, seeing In-Ho snap the man's neck. Oh my god. My eyes widened as I looked at him. "In-Ho" he looked back at me, like he'd forgotten I was there. "What did I tell you?" He stood up against the wall and to my surprise we weren't killed as gunshots rang out in the other room. My hands were shaking slightly and he walked up to me. Grabbing one of my hands and kissing my knuckles "I said I'd sacrifice everyone else to protect you." He said as he put my hand down. I just nodded silently and me pulled me into his chest "I didn't plan on killing someone with my bare hands, but if I hadn't you would've died. And I told you I wouldn't let that happen." I nodded against him, still not saying anything "please say something." His voice sounded pleading as he did. I couldn't think of anything to say but to thank him for saving my life. "Thank you." I felt him let out a sigh of relief once I'd spoke and the door opened as he kissed the top of my head and released me from the hug. The intercom told us to follow the guards back to our room and we all did in silence. We were walking through one of the hallways when I felt In-Ho, who was walking directly behind me, move closer "Are you going to tell anyone about what I did in there?" He sounded worried. And I considered it for a moment before deciding not to "No. you saved my life. That's all that happened in there." I tried to convince myself that there was no other reason for his actions. Failing slightly, but not enough for me to think about it further.
