Jungkook sat at his desk, staring blankly at the glowing screen before him. The usual hum of the office faded into the background as his mind spiraled. Jisoo's words from earlier echoed in his head like a haunting melody, each syllable driving a dagger deeper into his heart.

"He's changed. And... I think I've changed too."

The warmth in her voice, the way she talked about Taehyung with such genuine affection...it was unbearable. Jungkook's heart felt like it was being torn in two.

He had always known his feelings for Jisoo were one-sided, but hearing her speak about her husband so fondly made it painfully real.

He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms as he tried to steady himself. Why does it hurt so much? he thought bitterly. Why can't I just let her go?

As the hours ticked by, the emotional weight became unbearable. His chest felt tight, his breathing shallow. A wave of dizziness hit him, and he gripped the edge of his desk, trying to steady himself. But it was no use. His vision blurred, and the next thing he knew, he was collapsing onto the floor.

Roseanne had been walking down the hallway when she noticed the commotion near Jungkook's office. She quickened her pace, her heart racing as she pushed past the small group of employees gathered outside the door.

"What happened?" she demanded, kneeling beside Jungkook's unconscious form.

One of the assistants stammered, "H-he just collapsed out of nowhere. We don't know..."

"Don't just stand there! Call an ambulance!" Roseanne snapped, her voice sharp with urgency.

Minutes later, they were at the hospital. Roseanne stayed by Jungkook's side as the doctors ran tests, her mind racing with worry. She didn't know him well, but she had seen enough today to realize there was more to him than his calm, composed exterior.

Hours later, Jungkook stirred, his eyes fluttering open to the dim light of the hospital room. He groaned softly, his head pounding.

"Finally awake, huh?" Roseanne's voice was soft but tinged with concern. She was seated beside his bed, arms crossed.

Jungkook blinked, disoriented. "What... happened?"

"You collapsed," Roseanne replied bluntly. "Overworked and probably stressed out of your mind, if I had to guess."

He sat up slowly, wincing at the throbbing in his head. "I'm fine now. You didn't have to..."

"Save it," Roseanne cut him off, her eyes narrowing. "You scared the hell out of everyone back at the office. What were you thinking, pushing yourself like that?"

Jungkook looked away, guilt flickering across his face. "I am sorry," he muttered.

Roseanne's gaze softened slightly. "You don't have to apologize. But you do need to take better care of yourself."

Silence hung between them for a moment before Jungkook finally spoke. "Please... don't tell anyone about this. Especially not Jisoo."

Roseanne raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Why not?"

He hesitated, his hands clenching the blanket. "I don't want her to worry. She has enough on her plate."

Roseanne studied him for a long moment, her mind piecing things together. She thought back to earlier that day, to the conversation she'd had with Jisoo. The warmth in Jisoo's voice as she spoke about Taehyung, the way she described their growing bond...it all clicked.

"You heard us," Roseanne said quietly, her tone more of a statement than a question.

Jungkook's eyes widened, and his silence confirmed her suspicion.
