Chapter song: Daimonds are a Girls Best Friend.Winona had made it through the first half of her first official school day at Hogwarts. Her first four classes had gone by quickly, and the young witch had already added nearly one hundred points to her house, merely by answering what she thought were easy questions throughout her classes, making the young witch believe Hogwarts gave out house points very easily.
The young witch sat in the seat she had sat at for the past three days in the Great Hall, at the end of the Slytherin house table, plating her first lunch at Hogwarts.
She didn't want anything heavy on her stomach, so she gathered a honey crisp apple, some cut pineapple, and three strawberries, finishing her plate with a couple of sticks of baby carrots. Before eating anything, she grabbed the knife from her utensils, skinning the apple before cutting it into thin slices. After she was done, the young witch politely cleaned off her hands, ridding her hands free from the sticky apple juice.
Just as the young witch stabbed a slice of pineapple with her fork, a body roughly sat in the space next to her. Annoyed, Winona moved her eyes from her pineapple to the person who interrupted her lunch, finding the one and only Estella Greengrass sitting next to her.
"Are you a rabbit?" The elder witch asked Winona, frowning at the younger girl's plate of fruit.
"Are you uncivilized?" Winona answered, mildly offended by the elder witch's comment.
"Well I never! Of course I am- not!" Estella gasped, holding a hand to her heart, looking the younger girl up and down.
"Didn't seem that way when you flopped onto the bench, insulting me and my lunch without even a 'Hello, how is your first day going so far?', what's wrong with what I'm eating?" Winona asked with a frown, her brows furrowed.
"Nothing, it's just not the typical lunch is all." The elder witch answered with a light giggle at the younger girl's grumpy attitude, ignoring the first part of what the young witch said.
"Then what is?" Winona asked the older witch with a huff as she tilted her head to the side, she was slightly intrigued by what other magical people ate.
"Fish and chips!" Estella answered happily, pointing her finger to the platter that held fried and battered fish laid out on top of a bed of lettuce with a bowl of french fries in the center.
"Oh." Winona unenthusiasticly replied, dissatisfied with the common meal.
The elder girl ignored the unenthusiastic younger witch, quickly plating two pieces of fried fish and some fries.
"This is going to be so good!" Estella gushed as she shimmied in her seat, grabbing a piece of toast.
Her hand then went to grab a bowl filled with soupy beans.
"Wait!" Winona exclaimed, trying to stop the elder witch from grabbing the wrong bowl.
"What?" Estella asked with a smile as she poured the beans all over her plate, contaminating all of her food.
Winona was left discombobulated, perplexed, and utterly disgusted.
"You- you did that on... purpose?" The young witch asked, bewildered.
"Yup," Estella answered, unaware of the judging girl.
Winona didn't have any words left for the older girl so she finally began to eat her lunch in silent repulsion.

As the young witch was halfway done with her fruit, owls began to drop packages and letters. Winona immediately covered her food with her hands, trying to shield her precious food from any debris from the flying owls causing Estella to let out a light giggle, watching the younger girl.
