"RIKI IF YOU DON'T GET BACK HERE IN 5 SECONDS I'M GONNA BEAT YOUR—" his mother screamed down the village, as usual.

"MOM PLEASE NO I'M SORRY!!!!!" The boy cried as his mother chased after him with a back scratcher in her hand.

"AISH! BOMI-AH!!!!! SAVE ME!!" Riki cried as the girl was taking the trash out.

"YAH YAH— YAH!! DON'T GET ME INVOLVED WITH YOUR FAMILY BUSINESS!!" Bomi screamed but it was already too late, Riki had grabbed onto her and was using her as a human shield against his mother.

"RIKI STOP HIDING AND COME HERE!!" His mother yelled, waving the back scratcher around as she ran towards them.

"DON'T JUST STAND HERE RUN!!!" Bomi cried out of pure fear at seeing Riki's mother in a fit of her usual rage.

Riki picked her up and they made a run for it for Sunoo's house.

"AUNTIE PLEASE SAVE RIKI!!!" Bomi squealed.

"Is there ever a calm day on this street?" Sunoo's father remarked as he sat on the front porch.

The two ran into Sunoo's house and stormed into his room. Sunoo and Jungwon jumped out of their skin as the two busted into Sunoo's bedroom.

"WHAT THE FU-" Jungwon yelled until he was cut off.

"YAH, RIKI COME OUT HERE THIS INSTANT"

"Hey, calm down!!" Sunoo's mother tried to soothe the angered woman.

"What did you do this time?" Sunoo asked, they were all used to the troublesome boy's antics.

"Yeah, mind explaining why you used me as a human shield?"

"I didn't go to the tuition class..."

"Again?" The three teenagers shot him a look of unsurprise.

Riki's grades weren't the best, and his parents had paid for him to attend tuition classes much to his dismay.

"Yah, you should go." Bomi scolded him, taking one of Sunoo's magazines and whacking Riki's head with it.

"I agree. Don't your mom and dad pay a lot for it? Tuition classes are expensive you know." Jungwon chimed in.

The four were all childhood best friends, thanks to their parents being friends from being neighbours. And it wasn't just these four, there were four others who were just in the year above.

"Yeah.." Riki sheepishly admitted, and Bomi whacked him again.

"Don't even THINK about using me as your human shield again!!" Bomi warned him with a serious expression on her face.

They were almost like siblings.

"Fine- fine. No promises though."

That conversation then came to an end when they heard a cracking sound.

It was Sunoo tucking into a chocolate popsicle, Jungwon was eating an orange-flavoured popsicle.

"When'd you get these?!" Riki and Boni exclaimed in sync, their eyes glimmering.

"My mom got them," Sunoo replied.

Riki helped himself to a bite of Sunoo's chocolate popsicle, before almost throwing up as he crawled over to Sunoo's bin and spat it out.
