"So you're keeping the baby?" Bomi gasped, twirling the home telephone cord around her finger as she sat up against the pillar.

"Yeah, my mom and dad were actually okay with it," Kara replied.

"Woah, really?" Bomi gasped.

"Mhm. My mom's gonna look after the baby while I'm at school and stuff." Kara replied, "Soobin and I are dating now, and he met my parents the other day."

"Oh my god, so this is really happening." Bomi stood up.

"Yep." Kara replied it was like she was smiling through the phone, "You're gonna be an auntie, Bom!"

Kara had always wanted to be a mother, and have children at a young age - maybe this was a bit more younger than she had expected or planned, but she was still happy either way.

"Ah! Gosh, I'm so happy for you." Bomi exclaimed.

"Oh, yeah and we phone school about it." Kara added, "The photography and film department are letting me complete my short film end-of-year project early, way in advance before the baby is born or I'm in my third trimester."

"Really? When's it due?" Bomi asked.

"End of September, so that means I should start recording it now really." Kara replied, "So, speaking of which, I need you to be my actress."

"You need- what? You need ME?" Bomi coughed.

"Well, yeah you're my only friend, and can you ask one of your guy friends to step in too? I only need two people and I want you to act with someone you're comfortable with." Kara explained.

"Lemme ask Jungwon because I know he does nothing in his spare time." Bomi said, calling up Jungwon's home, "Stay on the line Kara!"

"Hello?" Jungwon picked up his home phone,

"Jungwon!" Bomi replied, "Kara needs a male actor in her photography and film end-of-year project since she needs to hand it in early."

"Does she want me to do it?" Jungwon questioned.

"Not specifically you, she just said any of my friends - and I know you do nothing in your free time." Bomi giggled.

"Well, thanks." Jungwon rolled his eyes, "But yeah, I'll do it."

"Okay, bye!" Bomi said.

"Is that it-" he said before Bomi hung up.

"Kara? You still there?" Bomi asked.

"Yep, what did he say?" Kara eagerly asked.

"He said he'll do it!"

"Perfect. Okay, I'm gonna start making the script now, do you think you could film it like, the week before we go back to school?"

"The week before we go back to school?" Bomi repeated, "Okay!"

~ A WEEK LATER:

"This is the script!" Kara and she handed Jungwon and Ayumi a copy each.

The two looked at her with confused expressions at the two pieces of paper she handed out.

"Uh... is it finished?" Jungwon asked.

"The piece is a silent short film, there's no dialogue in it." Kara explained, "Your actions will show the storyline."

The two ran through the script and looked at her with funny faces, "It's a love story?"

"Yep." Kara smiled.

She had been plotting for these two to get together since she first became friends with Bomi in high school and saw the potential. Kara also realised that Jungwon had unknowingly fallen for Bomi and figured this might give him a little push or hint - ultimately, she was a self-proclaimed matchmaker. (we love Kara for that)

"So I'm an art student?" Bomi raised an eyebrow.

"The story is of a girl who loves to draw, and a guy who goes to the same school as her." Kara begins, "The guy studies a lot, he's like the top of his class. While she draws the ocean, he studies with her."

"That's cute." Bomi smiled.

"They have a thing going on, but then she has to move, so yeah."

"What happened after that?" The two asked eagerly.

"It's an open-to-interpretation story," Kara explained.

"Aw." They both frowned.

Today we filmed for Kara's short film end-of-year project! It was pretty fun, to be honest, we have more to record tomorrow but after that, it should all be done~
