"Happy birthday!" Everyone exclaimed as party poppers and silly string flew in the air when Heeseung entered Jay's bedroom.

"Oh, wow, thanks, guys!" Heeseung smiled.

Jay stood holding a homemade cake he had baked (baking and cooking was his hobby that he was incredibly skilled at) with the number '18' candles lit on top.

"Make a wish and blow out the candles!"

Heeseung put his hands together while closing his eyes, making a wish. He then blew out the candles and everyone cheered again.

Once everyone had been handed a piece of cake, Sunoo took out a gift they had all saved up and chipped in to buy for Heeseung.

"C'mon, open it!" Riki urged.

Heeseung opened the gift box and gasped, "You guys got me a phone?!"

Heeseung took out a silver flip phone that the gang had purchased after a lot of saving.

"I mean, you're basically an old hag now. And you'll be going to college soon so we're gonna need to keep in contact with you somehow."

"Oh my gosh, thank you guys," Heeseung exclaimed.

It was Heeseung's birthday! He's officially 18. Which is kind of crazy to think about, like, he's an adult now..? His parents saved up for driving lessons for him too, which will be so good once he gets his license hahaha!!!

"Who's that?" Kara asked Bomi as the two looked out of the hallway windows that peered into the courtyard while sharing a chocolate bar.

In the courtyard were Jungwon and a girl, someone from Sunoo's class. Bomi had seen the pair together quite a lot, Riki explained to her the other day how it was because Jungwon was the male lead in the upcoming school festival production of 'Romeo and Juliet' and this girl was the female lead.

"Cha Ayeong, you know the production our year is doing for the play?" Bomi replied, and Kara nodded, "She's Juliet. Jungwon's Romeo."

"I've seen them together a lot lately," Kara said.

She glanced at Bomi, with a knowingly look on her face, expecting Bomi to react in some sort of way like 'Yeah, why would that bother me?' Or 'What are you trying to say?' As Bomi would usually give into Kara's teasing that Bomi had a crush on Jungwon - which was true, but Bomi was oblivious to the fact she actually had feelings for him.

But to her surprise, Bomi had a disappointed kind of look in her eye, not even realising Kara's attempt to tease her,

"Yeah, you're right," Bomi said quietly, her eyes never leaving the pair as they laughed in the courtyard together.

Bomi leaned against the window frame as the window was open, watching the two interact with each other.

"What the heck has gotten into you?" Riki flicked Bomi's head.

"Agh, I'm just tired of balancing studying, writing a piece for the next competition AND helping with this stupid production." Bomi shook her head.

"Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate." Riki replied, "Wish I could help you but I've got my hands tied making the actual set."
