To Ohm with Force

I looked at Ohm who just looked at me stunned and then he looked away. He was about to reply when we heard a soft voice call out to him. We both turned only to see Nanon standing there looking at us.

"Is everything ok?" Nanon asked looking at Ohm.

"Are you..are you asking me that?" Ohm stuttered. I inwardly face palmed at this boy's stupidity sometimes. Nanon nodded.

"I heard P Force being very fierce. And so I wondered if everything was ok. Are..are you two ok?"

Ohm nodded, his face brightening seeing Nanon speak to him. I observed his face and let go of his hand. I stepped back, suddenly unsure of what to do. Ohm didn't realize I had let go and walked closer towards Nanon and stressed he was ok. Nanon nodded, told him to take care and turned to wai to me before leaving. I nodded and he left.

Ohm turned around to face me, his face happy as a lark. "Did you see?! He spoke to me again! After ages!"

I nodded, his happiness getting to me too and putting me in a lighter mood. I smiled, happy for him. He truly was happy around Nanon. Then, Ohm realized our previous conversation and looked at me.

"About earlier.."

"It's ok. You..you do not have to reply. I..I just said what was on my mind but I do know you definitely do not see me that way."

"What...what makes you think so?"

I pointed towards Nanon's retreating back in the distance.

"Him."

"I noticed the joy on your face when he spoke to you. I realized how much he still means to you so I'm sure you probably have not gotten over your feelings for him. I can't.. it's not nice to come in between those feelings.."

Ohm looked at me for a long bit, his facial expressions changing from cluelessness to understanding and finally exasperation. But all he did was growl at me before he left.

I was stunned. What did I do wrong?!! I was looking out for his feelings! I didn't realize I had said it out loud only to hear Book's scathing reply from behind.

"No. You are definitely an idiot. You do not confess your feelings only to take it back and to decide his feelings for him. Have you seen the way he sees you and he sees Nanon? He will be happy and thrilled to see Nanon speaking to him again because that's his friend first and foremost but it doesn't speak of his feelings for him. If anything, he definitely likes you idiot. Or else why would he get jealous over me and run off?! You are really not the brightest bulb, aren't you?!"

I looked at Book who just looked pissed at me.

"I don't care what you do. You better sort it out; make him your boyfriend and come back. Or else, don't! I will kill you myself!"

I gulped as Book walked off. He is definitely capable of doing that. I sighed as I thought of Ohm. Since I was done for the day, I quickly grabbed my bag and left to go to Ohm's place to look for him figuring he should be there.

I got to his place 20 minutes later and true enough he was home. Though he didn't look very happy to see me when he opened the door.

"Can we please speak, Ohm?"

"Speak, as in a 2 way conversation? Where you and I chat or just you doing all of the talking?" Ohm groused pettily.

I was skirting on thin ice here. I apologised, stressing it was going to be a proper conversation. He stepped aside to let me in, getting me a drink as I kept my things away on the table.

"I'm sorry about earlier..."

"Why did you do that?"

I looked at Ohm. How honest could I be? But looking at his eyes thoughtfully looking at me, I knew he deserved nothing but the absolute truth.

"I..I got displaced when I saw Nanon. I thought if you guys became friends again which I am happy for, it would also mean that your feelings for him could get rekindled. And I hated that.. I..its Nanon's loss if he can't date you. But what if that happened? I got jealous, Ohm. I got really jealous."

Ohm looked at me, letting my words sink in. Then he came straight up to me and just held onto my shirt.

"Ohmm.."

He just leaned his head on my chest, whispering.

"I am happy to have Nanon speak to me again because he's my friend. You have no idea on how happy I am to have him talk to me again even if it was just for a bit. But it stops there. The feelings I used to nurture for him are not there anymore. As a friend yes. More than that, no. Because I wouldn't be going back and forth on my feelings for you if I still liked Nanon. Do you get it now?"

I kept absolutely quiet and still, letting Ohm's words sink in. I wanted to make sure I understood it carefully before reacting.

And react I did. I lifted his chin up to force him to look at me. His face was blushing red all over but his eyes had that quiet determination tinted with trepidation over my response. His lips hinted at a smile but it didn't break out.

I just smiled as it finally sunk into me. Seeing my smile, Ohm broke out into one too.

"I love you, Ohm."

And what did he do? I expected him to confess or smile or grin or make light of it. But all he did was, just lean back onto my chest, nodding his head.

Ah, so it was possible to make Ohm shy too!
