✨°Two Days Later°✨
The last two days, felt like an eternity, it was fulled with lost, grief and sadness. After the earthquake came to an end, Hailey and the others quickly made their way back to Eddie's trailer to see if the two was able to get away, but the scene Hailey saw was far worse.
Her brother was sitting on the ground, a lifeless Eddie in his arms. Dustin was crying his eyes out, as his head layed on Eddie's chest, Hailey felt tears running down her face.
Once they got home, the two siblings got into Dustin's bed after taking a much needed bath, there they stayed for 24 hours, Dustin crying, and Hailey comforting her brother, she knew how strong Dustin and Eddie's friendship had gotten.
Mrs Henderson were worried, because of them just staying in the room for an entire day, Steve kindly told her that Dustin did loose a dear friend, and another was in the hospital, still in a coma.
When Dustin finally told Hailey he was okay, she at first was hesitant, but knew he wanted to be on his own. Hailey and Steve went to the hospital first thing the next day, to visit Max.
Hailey sat by the girl's bed for an entire hour, just holding the girl's hand. Steve stood by the door, watching her, he has been worried about her, she's been comforting everyone else, since everything went down, keeping her own sadness locked away. Hailey being so silent scared him.
Only after she stood up from the chair next to Max's bed, did she run into his arms, letting everything out, that she has been keeping inside.
Steve decided to take her to his place instead, running her a warm bubble bath, making her a small meal while she was soaking in the bath. When she came out of the bathroom in one of his shirts, for a few seconds he couldn't help, but stare, because she was still the most beautiful creature he has ever seen.
Steve watched her eat, and then they went to bed, Hailey cuddled up close to Steve's side, her leg thrown over his, her hand on his chest, and her head was laying on his shoulder. Steve's one arm was wrapped around her, playing with her hair, his other hand placed on her leg that was thrown over him. The two enjoyed each other's presence as much as they could, they ended up falling asleep as they were laying there, listening to the other's breathing.
Now two days after the incident, they found themselves at the Wheeler's house, alongside Robin and Dustin, where Hailey was listening to the news on the radio of Steve's car.
"It's been less than 48 hours since a 7.4 magnitude earthquake rocked the quaint town of Hawkins, 80 miles outside of Indianapolis, in an event that seismologists are calling 'a natural disaster of near-unprecedented scale.' The death toll now stands at 22, but with hundreds more filling Roane County hospitals and many more still missing, officials expect those numbers to rise. This is only the latest tragedy to befall this once-safe town. Most recently, a string of high school students were killed in a series of ritualistic murders, which have been linked to a local satanic cult known as "Hellfire." Eddie Munson, the leader of this cult and prime suspect in the murders, has been missing since the earthquake and is presumed dead. But this offers little comfort to the people of Hawkins, who are scared, angry, and searching for answers. Why their town? What have they done to deserve so much suffering? A growing chorus believes the two recent tragedies are linked, claiming the Munson murders opened a doorway between worlds. A doorway, they say, into hell itself."
