OSDD and We: thoughts, experiences and snippets from our life.

We stayed up way too late last night to watch Venom. Rosa had complained we'd had a "boring af" day; gods forbid we had to look for housing and then Martin got his promised library time to read some more about Anglo-Saxon England.

As much as I'm tired this morning, I'm so glad we did, even if it was messy with four or so of us at differing levels of co-conscious. Quickly realised Rosa had never watched it before - previously only watched it with our ex who Rosa did not get on with (note for readers - that was before we discovered our system and diagnosis so during our "I'm just crazy I guess" phase).
Even Little S enjoyed most of it, though I think Martin and/or Rosa were possibly filtering out some of the darker/scarier bits.

Honestly though, I quite possibly enjoyed this sitting more than the first time watching it, especially with Rosa's contagious enjoyment of it. We very quickly turned it into a game of "pluralling" too (think queering but with systems/OSDD/DID instead).

One of the best nights we've had together in a while, if not of all time. Yeah we're disordered according to medical science but nights like that actually make it enjoyable and something positive.

Pretty sure we saw a guy we used to work with (well according to Martin. Life is so much easier with lower dissociative and amnesia barriers than we used to have). Kinda scared the shit out of us, very bad, self destructive part of our life before starting to figure things out.

Next thought fragment! We've all agreed to a greater or lesser extent to go on a bit of a mindfulness walk today around the harbour and maybe coastal path too. Martin really wants us to start looking into bird-watching. Might just have to bite the bullet and when life is more settled let him give it a shot at some point.

Talking of life being more settled, we're pretty sure all the stress and shit is what led to the other day. It's been so long since we lost an entire block of a couple hours like that, and it seems whoever was fronting was not only confused based on what they wrote in our group journal but didn't know who they were or that they're part of a system. Pretty sure the last few months of near-constant cluster-fuckage have led to us gaining a new alter who apparently no one knows or has contact with atm. Hopefully we can work on it in the very near future and make some kind of basic communication with.
