Tyler:
Hey, I'm sorry for running off like that.
I'm just bad at this stuff. I hope you're okay.

Logan:
Was it a mistake?

Tyler:
No.

Logan:
Then why'd you run away?

Tyler:
I panicked.

Logan:
Panicked?

Tyler:
Yeah. I wasn't expecting that.

Logan:
Neither was I.

Tyler:
Logan, it's just hard to process.

Logan:
I get it.

Tyler:
Do you?

Logan:
Yeah. I mean, it's not like I've got everything
figured out.

Tyler:
You're not mad?

Logan:
I'm not mad.
Just confused.

Tyler:
I don't blame you.

Logan:
You should've stayed.

Tyler:
I didn't want to mess things up.

Logan:
You didn't.

Tyler:
You sure?

Logan:
Yeah.

Tyler:
Okay. Good.

Logan:
So .. what now?

Tyler:
We take it slow.
Whatever happens, happens.

Logan:
Yeah, I can do that.

Tyler:
Thanks for understanding.

Logan:
I'm not mad, Tyler.
Just don't disappear on me again.

Tyler:
I won't. Promise.
Did it mean something to you?

Logan:
What do you mean?

Tyler:
The kiss.
Did it mean something to you?

Logan:
I don't know.
I really don't know what to feel.

Tyler:
I get that. I've been there.

Logan:
You have?

Tyler:
Yeah. But I already know what I feel.

Logan:
What do you feel?

Tyler:
I liked the kiss, Logan.
I liked it a lot, more then you know.

Logan:
I don't know if I feel the same yet.

Tyler:
It's okay. I'm not rushing you.

Logan:
You're not?

Tyler:
No. I can wait.
I'll wait for however long it takes.

Logan:
You'll wait?

Tyler:
Yeah. For you.
I'll wait as long as you need.

Logan:
But why?

Tyler:
Because, you're worth waiting for.

Logan sat in silence for a moment, the weight of Tyler's words lingering in his mind. His heart raced, and his fingers hovered over the screen of his phone, but he couldn't bring himself to type a response.

Tyler would wait for him. The thought echoed in his head, making his chest tighten. Logan knew what he felt, even if he hadn't fully admitted it yet. He liked Tyler, probably more than he was ready to admit. But the fear, the fear of everything changing, kept him from saying it out loud.

He glanced at the text one more time before shutting off his phone. The warmth in his cheeks hadn't faded, and the flutter in his chest remained. Tyler had been so patient, so understanding, but Logan still couldn't shake the fear that maybe he wasn't ready. Not yet.

But he knew one thing,
he wasn't alone in this.

Logan sighed, moving his knees up to his chest as he sat against the headboard of his bed. The room was quiet, save for the faint hum of the ceiling fan above him. His thoughts swirled uncontrollably, refusing to settle no matter how hard he tried to push them away.

Tyler's words repeated in his mind, each one pulling at him in a different direction. "I'll wait for you." Why did that make his chest ache? Why did it make his heart race?

He rested his chin on his knees, staring blankly at the wall ahead. He knew what he felt-he wasn't clueless about his emotions. But the thought of opening up, of admitting those feelings out loud, was terrifying. What if it didn't work out? What if things got messy, and he lost Tyler entirely?

Yet, the memory of the kiss lingered, warm and undeniable. For the briefest moment, everything had felt right. It had felt... safe.

Logan closed his eyes and let out another deep sigh, his breath shaky. His hands gripped the sleeves of Tyler's varsity jacket, the fabric still faintly smelling like him. It was comforting, in a way, but it also made everything feel so much more real.

"Why does this have to be so hard?" he whispered to himself, his voice barely audible in the stillness of the room.
