Amayra's Pov
"Will you stop making me do weird things and saying they're childhood memories of yours?" I ask, clearly irritated. "There's no way this is something you actually did as a kid," I add with a scoff.
Rudra looks at me, genuinely offended. "I did! Ask Kanishk!" he says, turning to his brother for backup. Kanishk, trying hard not to laugh, nods seriously.
"Stop siding with your brother!" I snap at Kanishk before glaring back at Rudra. "I'm not doing this. End of discussion!" I declare firmly.
"But Bhabhi, you can't say no!" Ayaan chimes in, clearly enjoying himself. "This is something really close to Rudra bhai's heart!" He's clearly siding with his brothers, and Rudra stands there looking all smug.
I turn to Siya who looks equally baffled, at least she was on my side.
"There's no way crab racing was close to Rudra's heart," Siya says and looks at Kanishk who looks like he's trying not to laugh, but he doesn't deny it.
"It's simple, Bhabhi!" Ayaan explains, looking at Siya and me. You both will catch crabs, and we'll do the same. Then we'll race them! The winning team gets whatever they want, and the losers will have to try a weird food combination the winner makes for them." Ayaan explains this as I make a disgusted face and turn to Rudra.
"You expect me to catch a crab? With my bare hands?" I ask, staring at Rudra like he's lost his mind.
"Yes," Rudra says with a completely straight face.
"That's part of the game," Kanishk chimes in from the side, earning a glare from Siya.
"I'm not doing it!" Siya declares, spinning around ready to return back to the house, and I decide to follow her lead.
"Wait," Ayaan says, rushing to block our path. He spreads his arms out like we're trying to escape from prison. "Come on, it'll be fun! Pleeaaase?" He even pulls out the classic puppy-dog eyes.
Siya sighs and I roll my eyes, "Fine," I say. "But only because I don't feel like listening to your whining all day."
Ayaan grins, giving a wink at his brothers, "Let's go catch some crabs!" he says, pushing us towards the beach.
"Wait!" Siya suddenly stops, "I'm only doing this competition on one condition," she says as I nod immediately, supporting my best friend without even knowing what she's about to demand.
"What?"
"We want gloves," she states and I nod my head again.
"That's not how it is done," Ayaan says.
"She's right, my hands are way too precious for me to get bitten by a crab," I say and look at Rudra.
"But-"
"Okay, Ayaan go bring some gloves," Rudra cuts off Ayaan.
"Fine," Ayaan says and sends off a servant to grab some gloves and in the meantime he hands us little buckets. I gag holding it as far away from me as possible. "Why does it smell so bad?" I ask, glaring at the bucket.
