Abhimaan : Finding light In darkness

Shivani calmed down a bit but she was still clingy towards Armaan fearing that he might get lost again With so much assurances she agreed to free him from her embrace. She was taken for tests by the doctor and his team. Once Shivani was out of their sight Armaan spoke" Papa what do you know about the accident which Ma was referring? and why is Dadisa repeatedly saying that I was responsible for Ma's death" for which Madhav replied " Maasa didn't like Shivani from the start she never agreed for our marriage. I went against her and married your mother. I even left Poddar house and stayed with your mother in her house at Rose garden. We were very happy in our life. We didn't have elders blessings but we both loved each other so much nothing was less for us. Our joy knew no bounds when Shivani became pregnant with you. She started dreaming of her life with you. She was eagerly waiting for your arrival and the moment you will make her mom" Listening all this Armaan was having tears in his eyes. He was so wanted by his mother. She cherished his presence but fate or someone's conspiracy separated them. Madhav continued " That's when I got call from Manoj that Maasa wasn't well and she is craving for her elder son. Shivani insisted that I meet my mother as I was not only her husband but also Son of Kaveri Poddar. So I went to meet Maasa she said she missed me terribly. So she is agreeing for Shivani to enter Poddar house and she also wished that her grandchild was born there. It was a huge thing for us as we didn't expect Maasa would ever accept us. But with the news of your arrival things are changing for better is what we felt. So we immediately moved to Poddar house. Maasa never engaged in any conversation with Shivani she clearly stated that she has accepted them for her grandchild and can't give any rights of Bahu to Shivani. Your mom though disappointed kept quiet for my happiness. as time went by Maasa's behavior towards Shivani changed she was targeted for each and every small things happened at the house. I didn't take stand for your mother and expected her to adjust every single time. Shivani did all she could but it was not enough she got into so much stress. Even I didn't support her much. Manoj wasn't married at that time Kajal was always meek but Sanjay and Maasa made your mom's life terrible. Though I knew it was Shivani who was only one making all adjustments and sacrifices I kept quiet also advised her to do the same to maintain peace in the family. Shivani went into lot of stress which affected her pregnancy. In the last months she became very weak that is when i stepped up and realized my mistakes and tried to shield your Mom. Things started getting better but often Maasa would taunt Shivani that her aim is to separate Mom and Son. Those times I literally blackmailed Maasa to stop her antics or else I will leave the house again. Soon you arrived and everything was a bliss. We both were extremely happy. It felt like both Maasa and Sanjay were happy too. All of Shivani's time went in taking care of you at some instances I felt Maasa was genuinely happy I started feeling that she has completely accepted Shivani and You. Soon I resumed my work and I was flourishing in my career by handling most risky operations and investigations. 

What I didn't know was Maasa hasn't fully accepted your Mom and You. I found this out much later to be precise after your Mom's disappearance. After 6 months of your 2nd birthday I left on Mission. I went to a remote location where there was very poor network. I almost went for 20 days when I came back I heard from The family that Shivani met with a fatal accident and passed away and you were the reason behind it. I was devastated about the demise of my wife. I couldn't come to terms with it. But I felt few pieces are not together after a week from my return I tried investigating what would have happened. There I found out from Manoj that only Maasa and Shivani along with you were at home while others were at work. Vidhya who happened to be Maasa's friends daughter came home to visit her. Shivani was playing with you in the garden and when she went inside to get something for you, you ran away to the road as you went behind the ball you were playing with. When Shivani came back from kitchen and couldn't find you she panicked and started searching for you. A staff came and told her that you were running on the road and she just went looking for you that is when she noticed you running in front of the truck in order to protect you she pushed you away from the truck before she could get away she was hit by the speeding truck. Though taken to hospital on time she was injured severely that she succumbed to her injuries and you were left with airline crack on your right arm.

As I was grief striked I didn't further investigate things. I trusted my family would never lie to me or hide to me any details about my son and wife. So I didn't probe further. Now he is very ashamed of himself that being a police officer he didn't tried to get to the bottom of it. Now Abhira could make some sense but she didn't open up. Armaan noticed her expressions and assured her to tell what does she think about all this . Abhira meekly declined to tell anything but further coaxed by Madhav and Armaan's assurance she spoke. Papa did anytime before or after your marriage with Shivani Ma dadisa wanted you to end your relationship and get married to anyone of her choice. Madhav responded affirmatively. Then She continued all these are my assumptions so please don't get offended and continued "dadisa clearly wanted the heir of Poddar family and not Shivani Ma so when Papa was out of town she might have asked Ma or even used her powers to separate Ma and Armaan. She could have offered money or threatened or maybe created such circumstances for Ma to believe that she is not capable and made her leave on her own".

With Abhira completing her perspective it made sense to Madhav he quoted that Maasa would often compare Shivani with Vidhya and will also taunt her that she could never be equal to Vidhya in status, beauty and values.He supported Abhira. But Armaan was thinking in another tangent. Whatever his Papa told to have happened in the past is the same happened with Abhira. She was also targeted by everyone in the family. Even the kids was not left behind. Just like his father even he didn't stand up for Abhira. He was ashamed of himself as he also proved to be a week person with no courage to look after his wife. He was like he will burst into tears. He just excused himself from there as the air in the room was growing thick.
