HALF-SISTER (COMPLETED)

Vidyut took Khushi to buy some chocolate. Harsha and Ruhi went to retrieve the car from the parking lot.

Vidyut: Princess sad hai? (Princess are you sad?)

Khushi nodded with a pout.

Vidyut: Baby, Ruhi has to go to school.

Khushi (angrily): No...

Vidyut: Okay theek hai... Ruhi ko bolta hoon School nahi jaye. Khushi ke sath khele. Phir sab Ruhi ko bad girl bole, okay? (Okay fine... I will ask Ruhi to sit at home and play with Khushi. Then everyone will call her a bad girl, okay?)

Khushi (pout): No bab. (No bad)

Vidyut: Then let Ruhi go to school. In the evening, Chachu and Khushi will go to pick her up.

Khushi nodded with a pout.

As they reached the shop. Vidyut bought chocolate for Khushi and Ruhi too.

Vidyut: Baby, give this chocolate to Ruhi. She will be happy.

Khushi nodded with a giggle. Her gloomy mood lifted to cheerful again as she got chocolate. They returned to where Harsha and Ruhi were waiting in the car.

Vidyut saw Harsha in the driving seat and Ruhi in the back seat. He settled Khushi beside Ruhi in the back seat and secured her with a seat belt. He then went and sat beside Harsha in the passenger seat.

Harsha: Chale? (Shall we go?)

Vidyut: Yes!

Harsha ignited the engine and started driving towards Ruhi's school.

The whole ride, Khushi's non-stop chattering was going on. Ruhi responding to Khushi's talks. Vidyut was silent.

Once they reached Ruhi's school.

They went towards Ruhi's classroom. Harsha spoke with her teacher regarding Ruhi's mother's demise.

Meanwhile, Vidyut stood with Ruhi and held Khushi in his arms.

Vidyut (whispering in Khushi's ear): Give chocolate to Ruhi and tell her bye.

Khushi pouted listening bye.

Vidyut (pecking Khushi's cheek): Come on princess.

Khushi forwarded chocolate to Ruhi and bent towards her height to peck her cheek. Vidyut helped in bending carefully. So, she won't fall down. Ruhi smiled pecking her nose.

Once, Harsha spoke with Ruhi's teacher. She knelt down in front of Ruhi.

Harsha: If you feel any discomfort. Inform your teacher immediately. I will come to pick you up. I spoke with your teacher. In the evening, the school bus will drop home, okay?

Ruhi nodded. Harsha pecked her forehead.

Bidding Harsha bye, Ruhi left for her class.

Harsha: Let's go.

Then trio left for Vidyut's college.

After dropping Vidyut. Harsha and Khushi came home back.

Vidyut came home back from college. He saw Khushi sadly playing with Shalini. Shalini was trying to cheer Khushi's mood.

Vidyut: Ise kya hua? (What happened to her?)

Khushi (glaring at Vidyut): Yuhiiiiiiiii....

Vidyut couldn't stifle his chuckle, looking at Khushi's adorably angry face.

Shalini (chuckle): Vidyut, tu jaa kar leke aayega Ruhi ko? Uski bus aati hi hogi. Vo Harsha ko clinic se urgent call aaya to vo vahi attend kar rahi hai. (Vidyut, will you go and pick Ruhi? Her school bus must be arriving. Harsha received an urgent call from the clinic. So, she is attending it.)

Vidyut hesitated at first but eventually agreed.

Vidyut (taking Khushi in arms): Chalo Madam.

They both left to pick Ruhi. As they left, Harsha came out of her room. Shalini shows her thumbs up with a wide smile.

Harsha (with a grin): Dadi, we have to push him. So, he can spend time with Ruhi. He does need time to be free with her but till the time. I know he won't make her feel uncomfortable.

Shalini nodded and joined her hands in front of Idol, which was present in the living area.

With Vidyut and Khushi. They reached the spot, and in a few seconds, the bus arrived.

Vidyut walked towards the bus and waited for Ruhi to walk out.

Khushi (pointing at Bus): Yuhiiii come?

Vidyut nodded. Just then, Ruhi walked out with the bus Aide. As Khushi saw Ruhi.

Khushi (excitedly screamed): Yuhiiiiiiiiiiii

As she screams in Vidyut's ears. He was shocked.

Vidyut: Shh!!! Chilate nahi hai (Don't shout).

Khushi ignored him and gestured to Ruhi to come.

Bus Aide: You are here to pick Ruhi?

Vidyut nodded as Ruhi approached him.

Bus Aide: Who is she to you?

Vidyut raised his eyebrow.

Bas Aide: We're asking this for the child's safety. You are obviously a new person, according to me, as usually, her mother comes to pick her up, and even the location is different now.

Vidyut: She is...

He trailed off, not knowing how to describe their relationship. He paused for a few seconds, then took a deep breath.

Vidyut: She is my sister.

Bas Aide: Okay! So, you will be coming to pick her up from now on?

Vidyut: I or bhabhi... Ruhi is aware of her as well.

Bas Aide: Okay, sir. Have a good day.

With this bus departed. Vidyut took both the girls home. Khushi was beaming with happiness. Finally, she reunited with her partner back.

Ruhi saw Harsha and ran to her. Harsha eloped her in a warm hug.

Harsha: How was your day?

Ruhi just nodded and appeared dull.

Shalini (pulling her towards herself): Kya Hua Bache? (What happened, baby?)

Ruhi (with tears in her eyes): Mumma mujhe pick karne bhi nahi aayegi bus se? (Mumma won't come to pick me up from the bus stand?)

Shalini hugged her.

Vidyut felt tears welling up in his eyes, struggling to hold them back. He was not missing his mother at this moment, but his heart was wrenching looking at Ruhi all this sad and gloomy since morning.

His family was part of his life along with his mother. But for Ruhi, her life and family everything was her mother.

Harsha and Shalini calmed her down.

This day was awfully quiet for all.
