HALF-SISTER (COMPLETED)

Saurav and Ruhi were focused on Ruhi's studies and Mihika was preparing lunch.

The doorbell rang. Listening to the doorbell.

Ruhi (cheerfully): Khushi aa gayi...

She quickly stood up. Saurav, too, stood up and went to open the door. He saw Shalini, Anirudh, Harsha and Khushi.

Khushi (giggling): Cha-cha...

She was wriggling in Anirudh's arms, trying to jump into Saurav's arms.

Saurav took her. She happily pecked his cheek. They walked in.

Looking at Ruhi, Khushi cheered loudly.

After meetings and greetings...

Anirudh: Main fresh ho kar aaya (I will be back after getting fresh).

He walked into his room.

Shalini: Saurav, why do you seem so dull?

Mihika: Dadi, he had a fever last night and now his headache and weakness.

Harsha: How? Are you okay now?

Saurav: Yes bhabhi. Don't worry. I am fine. I just need some rest.

Shalini: After lunch take your medicines and sleep.

Saurav nodded.

Mihika: Dadi, you know last night, Ruhi took care of Saurav.

Harsha: Hmm? Means?

Saurav sighed.

Saurav: I lost consciousness and energy as I reached home. So, Ruhi took care of me by keeping the cloth on my head soaked in cold water, giving me medicines and also she prepared Jam bread for us for dinner.

Shalini (proudly): Is it?

Saurav nodded with a sigh.

Shalini (pulling Ruhi in a hug): Hayee!! Meri bachi.

She pecked on her hair.

Harsha (patting her head): Ruhi is so Smart.

Shalini: Who taught you all this?

Ruhi (sad smile): Mumma... Whenever she used to be sick. She taught me all this.

For a few seconds, everyone got quiet.

Ruhi's mother taught her basic things. She used to live with her mother, the only person in her life. Her mother prepared her to be ready with basic things at least. So, by any chance, if her mother isn't well or the situation is serious. Ruhi at least can prepare something for her, she doesn't have to starve for food. She can take care of her mother.

For safety, her mother always told her to check from the doorhole before opening the door for her safety.

Shalini nodded with a smile and pecked her cheeks.

Mihika: Dadi... Saurav ordered ice-cream for Ruhi as a gift.

Harsha (surprised): That's why you were asking me for her favourite?

Mihika nodded. Saurav just them a small smile. Maybe, he started to melt for Ruhi, but he still needs time to make a beautiful bond.

Listening to the word "Ice-cream" Khushi excitedly clapped.

Khushi (giggling): Ieeeee-eeemmmmm...

Mihika (teasing smile): Only for Ruhi. Her Saurav bhaiya ordered it.

Khushi (pout): Yuhiiiiiiiiiiii Ieeeee-eeemmmmm...

Ruhi nodded with giggles.

Khushi (giving flying to Ruhi): Muuaahhhhh...

Everyone laughs at Khushi's drama.

Mihika: You all get fresh. Till then, I will set lunch.

Shalini and Harsha nodded and left from there.

After a few minutes, All came and settled for lunch.

Vidyut (while entering the house): I am back...

Next evening. Everyone was at home after work when Vidyut entered, gaining everyone's attention.

Saurav (rolling his eyes): We knew you were coming today.

Vidyut (dramatically): Ouch!! That hurts... Matlab chota bhai Ghar vapas aaya. Aapko to Zara bhi Khushi nahi ho rahi.... (Younger brother is returning home. You are not happy at all).

Anirudh (shaking his head): We are not happy at all. Now, we are going to lose all our peace. How are we supposed to be happy, then?

Vidyut (fake crying): Bhabhi, Dadi...

Khushi and Ruhi giggled.

Harsha: Leave them. I am happy that my baby bro is back.

He walked towards her and hugged her.

Anirudh walked towards them and pulled Harsha out of his embrace.

Anirudh (rolling his eyes): Stay away from my wife.

Vidyut (mumbling): Hitler is back.

Shalini (laughing): Anirudh, Vidyut stop fighting. Ani, he just came back. Don't trouble him. Vidu, don't name your elder brother Hitler.

Vidyut (fake crying): Dadi, you are the only one who loves me.

Khushi and Ruhi were enjoying this show. Saurav shook his head in disbelief.

Shalini: I know. Now, go and get fresh then come for dinner.

Vidyut nodded and left for his room.

Everyone sat for dinner.

Vidyut: I have bought gifts for you all.

Shalini: Waah!!!

Anirudh (narrowing his eyes): You went for a field trip?

Vidyut: But I managed my time and went to the market to buy gifts for you all.

Anirudh: How do your teachers let you? Are you sure it was a field trip?

Vidyut (glaring at Anirudh): Hitler is back. You aren't happy that I managed my time and saved my pocket money to bring gifts for you all? Uh-huh!!

He smiled mischievously.

Vidyut: I ain't gonna give you the gift. Now, I will wear that shirt. Duh!!!

Shalini (scolding): Ani...

Khushi (mimicking Shalini): Ani...

Anirudh couldn't control his smile, looking at his daughter scolding him.

Harsha glared at Khushi.

Khushi (sadly pout): Papa... papa... papa...

Everyone chuckled at her drama.

Ruhi's face fell a little. Though, she is comfortable around Saurav and Vidyut now. But still, there is no improvement in their bond at all. About Anirudh, she is scared of him and not comfortable around him.

Shalini and Vidyut noticed her sad face. She doesn't understand or doesn't know what is lonely. She does feel it. She feels like an outsider.

Further, Vidyut stayed quiet, not willing to spoil her mood more.
