Otherwise, delaying it further could lead to greater trouble and losses.
Compared to the territory's overall interests and the lord's plans, personal pride meant nothing.
Matthew could sense Elder Field's thoughts and felt a sense of gratitude.
It was with the help of such people that the territory could develop so quickly, so he softly reassured:
"Haha, the vast majority of murlocs have incredibly low intelligence."
"For them, their thinking is more instinctual than emotional, even more rigid than some fortunate hyenas or magical creatures."
"Even if I were in charge of them, it probably wouldn't go smoothly. This matter can only be left to Yaya!"
Hearing Matthew call her, Yaya put down her book and poked her round, cute head out:
"Hmm? Those murlocs? Leave them to me!"
Seeing Yaya's cheerful face, Elder Field didn't feel anything amiss. In fact, he was incredibly excited.
Though the world's cultural development wasn't as advanced as Matthew's previous life, the experiences people had were much richer.
This continent.
Had been ruled by dragons.
Had been ruled by giants.
Even during the long and distant dark ages, within those tens of thousands of years of vacant time, it had been ruled by various creatures.
Even recently, it had experienced being ruled by elves and dwarves.
As for Yaya, a true dragon, the people of Bay Territory took great pride in her identity and legitimacy.
Many had even discussed.
That the lord, being the most trusted Arcanist of the Netheril Empire, had at least a 200-year lifespan.
If he became a revered Grand Arcanist, he could rule the territory forever.
And as the other ruler of the territory, the true dragon and emblem of Bay Territory, Yaya, with her nearly thousand-year lifespan, could always care for the territory.
This was a great blessing!
As for Yaya wanting to get involved in management, Elder Field fully supported it.
Whether Yaya did well or poorly, it would still be something worth celebrating for everyone.
Half an hour later.
In a swamp five kilometers from Murloc Castle.
A small lake was teeming with countless murlocs.
Tens of thousands of murlocs gathered here, their chaotic noises blending into one.
Some restless murlocs directly attacked nearby companions who displeased them.
Shouting, fighting, and brawling blended into a chaotic mess.
Elder Field blinked helplessly. He knew well that murlocs were naturally chaotic.
If left unchecked, these fools would likely fight for a whole day, and thousands of them might die in the process.
Each murloc had cost the territory 2 silver coins, and Bobo had spent considerable effort subduing them.
In Bay Territory, not a single murloc was expendable!
Just as the murlocs' chaos reached its peak, a silver-white figure slowly descended, floating silently above the lake.
The noisy murlocs were immediately stunned into silence.
A large number of them flipped onto their backs, floating on the lake's surface.
Yaya hadn't intentionally released her draconic might, but even so, the pressure she exerted on the murlocs was terrifying.
Most of the murlocs couldn't withstand such power and fainted.
Luckily, they wouldn't drown, or they'd all be done for.
Yaya never expected much from their combat abilities. Just as she had done with Gold-Fang and Silver-Fang, she called to the few murlocs that hadn't fainted:
"Swim to the shore and greet your new fate!"
When Elder Field heard Yaya's words, his mind filled with thoughts:
"For so many refugees, does coming to Bay Territory mean they've changed their fate too?"
