Chapter 248: The Suffering Trolls
"Boom!"
The intense explosion sound echoed throughout the entire troll camp once again.
Aside from some commotion on the outskirts, the other trolls remained indifferent.
Their thoughts were simple: the chances of getting killed by Fireball were low, but the chances of being killed by the furious troll priest were high.
Hunter scratched his head, his murky eyes flashing with intense anger. He gripped the stone slab tightly and gritted his teeth, shouting:
"Barnes, you idiot! Do you think you can survive by running away?"
"When I catch you, I'll make you wish you were dead!"
"The rest of you are idiots too, you can't even deal with a few humans. I must have been too merciful!"
"..."
Although he said this,
Hunter quickly realized that without Barnes managing the troll soldiers, his control over them had noticeably declined.
He had to put in more effort to gradually keep them in line.
Frowning instinctively, Hunter glanced at the brightening sky, his eyes filled with malice:
"Stalling for time? Dream on!"
Large numbers of troll soldiers soon set off, even though they were extremely tired and some were mentally exhausted.
However, after receiving the orders from the troll priest, none of them could resist and could only obey.
Any trolls who resisted would be captured on the priest's orders and sacrificed to the Blood God!
That was a fate worse than death!
The priest blatantly demanded that they travel as quickly as possible.
"You don't want to experience what happened last night again, do you?"
"The sooner we reach our destination, the sooner we can kill those despicable humans!"
"They can run now, but the castle won't run away!"
Forcing themselves through mental and physical exhaustion, the trolls began to rush forward.
They didn't stop all morning, relying on their tenacity and regenerative abilities to cover a considerable distance.
Many troll soldiers remained vigilant on the road, fearing a sudden ambush like last night.
However, after half a day of anxiety, the trolls saw no sign of the enemy, not even a single trap.
It wasn't until the sun was high in the sky, nearing noon.
The heavy strain was starting to take its toll, even on the trolls with their high stamina and recovery abilities.
Recovery abilities weren't magical; they required the trolls to expend stored energy.
Simply put, trolls usually needed to eat a lot to recover quickly.
After a sleepless night and rushing all morning,
the trolls were already starving!
Seeing the hungry gleam in the troll soldiers' eyes, even the troll priest didn't dare to force them to continue.
"Baturu, lead a thousand-man team and hunt for food quickly."
Hunter said coldly as he sat under a large tree.
