Lisa barely had time to catch her breath before she found herself pressed against the cold stone wall of a secluded corridor.

Jungkook's body was caging hers in, his hands planted firmly on either side of her head. His chest was rising and falling heavily, his dark eyes blazing as they locked onto hers.

Lisa swallowed.

Okay. Maybe—maybe—she had taken things a little too far.

Jungkook tilted his head, his lips barely a breath away from her ear.

"You think this is a game, don't you?" His voice was low, dangerously smooth.

Lisa's heartbeat skipped.

"...Maybe."

Jungkook huffed out a laugh—dark and threatening.

Then, suddenly, his fingers brushed against her waist.

Lisa sucked in a sharp breath.

His touch was featherlight—barely there, but somehow it sent a shiver all the way down her spine.

Jungkook noticed.

His smirk deepened.

Lisa cursed internally.

"I should teach you a lesson," he murmured, his fingers trailing up her waist, his touch slow, teasing. "But I don't think you'd mind that at all, would you?"

Lisa didn't answer.

Because she couldn't.

Her body felt hot, her breath shallow, and she knew Jungkook could hear the rapid beating of her heart.

His lips ghosted over her jaw—not quite touching, but close enough to drive her insane.

Lisa's fingers clenched at her sides.

If he got any closer—

"What in the name of hell is going on here?"

Jungkook froze.

Lisa's eyes widened.

And then—

Jennie.

Standing at the entrance of the corridor, arms crossed, brow raised so high it could touch the heavens.

Lisa's face burned.

Jungkook sighed deeply—like he was physically restraining himself from throwing someone through a wall.

Lisa, on the other hand, had never been more mortified in her entire existence.

Jennie's eyes narrowed. "Am I interrupting something?"

Lisa opened her mouth—only to immediately snap it shut when she realized she had no reasonable explanation for being trapped against a wall by her fiancé, who looked like he was either about to kiss her or set the whole palace on fire.

Jennie sighed, rubbing her temples. "I literally turned around for ten minutes. And now this?"

Jungkook ran a hand through his hair, exhaling sharply. "Jennie—"

"No, no, don't even bother." Jennie held up a hand. "I don't even wanna know."

Lisa wished the floor would swallow her whole.

Jennie tilted her head, looking directly at Lisa.

"You."

Lisa flinched. "W-what?"

Jennie smirked. "You were teasing him, weren't you?"

Lisa's entire soul left her body.

Jungkook let out a low chuckle, stepping back just enough to glance at Lisa with pure amusement.

Lisa glared at him.

Jennie sighed, shaking her head. "You know what? I actually don't care. I came to tell you that the king wants to see both of you. Now."

Jungkook tensed. "Why?"

Jennie shrugged. "Something about an official announcement."

Lisa's stomach dropped.

Oh.

She had a very bad feeling about this.
