The room is dead silent as Minho's voice filters through the phone, his words slow, deliberate.

"Did you really think I wouldn't find you?"

Jungkook grips the device tightly, his jaw locked. The muscles in his neck are tensed like steel cables, but his face gives nothing away.

I can feel Jisoo next to me—her breath hitching, her entire body rigid.

My stomach tightens.

We've barely had time to breathe. Barely had time to process what just happened between us, and already—Minho is here. Looming over us, even from a distance.

"This is your last chance," Minho continues, his voice smooth, almost amused. "Come back, Jisoo. And bring Taehyung with you."

I clench my fists.

"Or what?" I snap, my voice sharp.

A pause.

Then, Minho exhales, as if bored. "Or I'll burn the whole damn city down to find you."

Jungkook and I exchange a glance.

We know Minho.

He's not bluffing.

Jisoo is completely still beside me. She knows it, too.

"You have until tomorrow night," Minho murmurs. "Either you come willingly... or I'll take you by force."

The line clicks dead.

No more options.

No more running.

The silence after the call is suffocating.

Jungkook exhales sharply, running a hand through his hair. "We need a plan."

I barely hear him.

I'm looking at her.

Jisoo stares at the wall, her breathing uneven, her fingers curling into the fabric of her shirt.

She looks lost.

I stand. "Jisoo—"

"I need air," she mutters, pushing to her feet.

She doesn't wait for an answer before disappearing out the door.

I don't hesitate.

I follow.

___

I find her outside, leaning against the rusted railing of the fire escape.

The city stretches beyond us, a sea of flickering lights and distant sirens. The air is thick, warm, carrying the scent of rain on pavement.

Jisoo doesn't move as I approach.

I don't speak.

I just stand beside her, waiting.

Finally, she exhales. "You should leave."

I stiffen. "No."

She turns, her dark eyes burning. "Taehyung—"

"You think I can just walk away after everything?" My voice is quiet, but it shakes. "After what he's done? What he'll do?"

Her breath catches.

"I know you think this ends with you going back," I continue. "That somehow, that's the only way to stop him."

She looks away.

But I reach for her hand. I don't let her turn away from me.

"He doesn't own you, Jisoo." My voice drops, rough. Desperate. "He never did."
