Jennie stood at the massive floor-to-ceiling windows of her mansion, staring out at the city’s skyline. Her reflection in the glass mirrored the turmoil inside her, but beneath the surface, her mind was sharpening with determination. The events of the past few weeks had been weighing heavily on her. The constant tension between her emotions and her responsibilities as the heir of the underworld empire was exhausting. But today was different. Today, she would remind herself—and everyone else—why she was the queen.

Taehyung’s lingering presence in her thoughts didn’t waver, but Jennie was done letting her emotions cloud her judgment. Irene’s betrayal, Taehyung’s confusing demeanor, and her father’s growing concerns had pushed her to the edge, and she wasn’t about to let anyone underestimate her any longer.

Jennie reached for her phone and opened the recorded file she had captured of Irene. Listening to Irene’s venomous words once more ignited a fire in her chest.

Jisoo’s Arrival

A knock on the door pulled Jennie from her thoughts. Jisoo stepped in, her usual calm demeanor intact, but the concern in her eyes was evident.

“Jennie, I just received a report. Irene has been making subtle moves against your father’s business dealings in Hong Kong. She’s spreading false rumors to destabilize his influence.”

Jennie smirked coldly, her hand gripping the edge of the table. “Let her try. She has no idea who she’s dealing with.”

“What’s the plan?” Jisoo asked.

Jennie turned to face her. “We fight fire with fire. If Irene wants a war, I’ll give her one she’ll never recover from. But I’ll do it my way—silent, precise, and devastating. Gather Ella and Kai. I want every detail about Irene’s connections by tonight.”

“And Taehyung?” Jisoo hesitated.

Jennie’s expression darkened. “Leave him out of this for now. He’s too close to Irene, and I can’t risk him ruining my plans, knowingly or unknowingly.”

Jisoo nodded, trusting Jennie’s judgment.

Meeting with Kai and Ella

Within hours, Jennie, Kai, and Ella convened in the underground war room of her mansion. The large digital screen displayed Irene’s known associates, her businesses, and her father’s powerful network. Jennie scanned the information with an icy precision that made even Kai, a seasoned strategist, uneasy.

“Here’s the plan,” Jennie began, her voice steady and commanding. “We’re going to dismantle her network, piece by piece. Start with her supply chains in Europe. If we cut her resources, she’ll start panicking. While she’s distracted, we’ll move in on her operations in South Korea.”

Ella chimed in, “Irene’s men are fiercely loyal, but they’re not invincible. If we can exploit their weaknesses—”

Jennie interrupted, “No. We don’t exploit. We destroy. This isn’t about sending a message. This is about erasing her influence entirely.”

Kai raised an eyebrow. “You’re going full force?”

Jennie leaned forward, her eyes blazing with determination. “Irene thinks she can take down my family, betray Taehyung, and still walk away unscathed. She doesn’t understand what it means to challenge me. She’s underestimated me for the last time.”

Taehyung’s Growing Frustration

Meanwhile, Taehyung sat in his car outside the Kim mansion, his fingers drumming impatiently on the steering wheel. He hadn’t seen Jennie in days, and her sudden distance was eating away at him. Every time he tried to reach her, she was either busy or unavailable.

A part of him hated how much he missed her. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. He was supposed to be focused on his revenge, on Irene, on the bigger picture. But Jennie…she was always there, in his mind, in his heart.

He pulled out his phone and stared at her contact, debating whether to call her. His thumb hovered over the screen when Irene’s voice broke his thoughts.

“Taehyung?” she called sweetly as she slid into the passenger seat.

Taehyung’s jaw tightened. He forced a smile and turned to her. “What are you doing here?”

“I missed you,” she said, leaning closer. “You’ve been distracted lately. Is everything okay?”

“Just tired,” he replied curtly, his mind already wandering back to Jennie.

Irene pouted. “Well, you should rest. We have a gala next week, remember?”

He nodded absently, barely registering her words.

Jennie’s First Move

That night, Jennie made her first strike. Her men infiltrated Irene’s warehouse in Busan, dismantling her weapons cache and sabotaging her supply lines. By morning, Irene’s operation had suffered a significant blow, and Jennie didn’t stop there.

Over the next few days, Irene’s empire began to crumble slowly. False information leaked to her allies, business partners cut ties, and her shipments mysteriously disappeared. Jennie watched it all unfold from the shadows, her calculated moves leaving Irene scrambling to regain control.

But Jennie wasn’t satisfied. This was just the beginning. She had more planned—much more. And when the time came, she would deliver the final blow herself.

---

A Message to Remember

Late one evening, Jennie received a call from Jisoo.

“Irene’s men are retreating,” Jisoo reported. “She’s losing ground fast.”

Jennie smirked. “Good. Let her feel the weight of her own ambition. But we’re not done yet.”

“Understood,” Jisoo said before hanging up.

Jennie stood in the dimly lit room, her reflection in the glass once again staring back at her. This time, she saw not just a woman torn between love and duty but a queen ready to defend her throne at all costs.

“Let the games continue,” she whispered, a dangerous glint in her eyes.

Ending Scene

Across the city, Taehyung sat alone in his apartment, staring at the necklace Jennie had once given him—a simple silver chain with a small winter bear charm. He clenched it tightly in his hand, the weight of his feelings for Jennie threatening to break his resolve.

“I don’t know what you’re doing, Jennie,” he murmured to himself. “But I hope you’re safe.”

Little did he know, Jennie was already setting the stage for the battle that would change everything—for all of them.
