Rohit grumbled as Hardik continued grinning like an idiot, arms crossed, radiating smugness.

"Stop looking at me like that," Rohit muttered, rubbing his temple.

Hardik sighed dramatically, shaking his head. "My Rohit bhaiya is growing up."

Rohit's eye twitched. "Hardik, I swear—"

Before he could finish, Rahul, who had been completely zoned out until now, suddenly clapped his hands together.

"Oh! Are we talking about Virat bhaiya?" he asked, perking up.

Rohit groaned. Not again.

Hardik perked up too. "Yup! RoBro is interested."

Rahul blinked. "Interested in what?"

"Virat bhaiya, duh."

Rahul tilted his head, confused. "What about him?"

Hardik sighed like a teacher dealing with a dumb student. "About liking him, you idiot."

Rahul's face was blank. "Oh." A beat. Then he gasped loudly. "Wait. WHAT?"

Rohit glared at Hardik. "Why would you say that in front of his literal BEST FRIEND"

Hardik shrugged. "It's funnier this way."

Rahul looked between them, then at Rohit with wide eyes. "You like Virat bhaiya?"

"I don't like him," Rohit snapped.

Rahul narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "You don't?"

"No."

Hardik rolled his eyes. "Yet he literally panicked over a kid's mild infection, crashed into Virat for help, and then stared at him like a lost puppy when he said Samaira would have to stay admitted."

Rohit's jaw clenched. "That is not—"

"And let's not forget the grocery store." Hardik grinned.

Rahul suddenly gasped. "Wait. You're the grocery store guy?!"

Rohit blinked. "Huh?"

"My bhaiya wouldn't stop smiling when he came home that day!" Rahul exclaimed. "He said he met a 'very goofy but kind man' who made him laugh. He never  laughs that much!"

Hardik looked at Rohit, eyes gleaming. "Ohhh. Now this is interesting."

Rohit, ignoring them both, was suddenly very focused on adjusting his already perfectly straight cuffs.

"So... about those crushes?" Hardik smirked.

Rahul nodded rapidly. "Yes! Virat bhaiya never talks about stuff like that, but—"

"Oh my god," Rohit muttered. "Can you two stop?"

Hardik and Rahul exchanged a look.

Then they both grinned at him.

"Nope," they said in unison.

Rohit rubbed his face aggressively, exhaling through his nose. Hardik and Rahul were grinning like idiots, waiting for him to say something—anything.
