I've walked this road since winter's start,
With hope still flickering in my heart.
January 3rd, I sent my plea,
Chasing jobs that wouldn't see me.
Laid off from a place I thought was mine,
A star player, rising, set to shine.
A raise, a role, a future bright—
Then the crash that stole my light.
I fought to stand, I fought to stay,
Yet doors kept closing in my way.
Interview calls, then silence cold,
Rejection emails, stories told.
I felt like I would never land,
That life had slipped right through my hands.
But now, at last, a chance is here,
A place that sees, a voice that hears.
They're taking a chance, believing in me,
In homes with pets and rooms set free.
I'll scrub, I'll shine, I'll prove my worth,
And show them why they made this choice.
The journey's long, but I won't fall,
I'll give this job my heart, my all.
A fresh new start, a path made clear,
No time to fail, my calling is finally here.
