Her shoulders were tensed to the point it was hurting her
She winced a little, her shoulder muscles protesting the tense position. She tried to ignore the pain, not wanting to worry her daughter, but it was clear that the stress of the last few weeks was taking its toll on her physically as well.
"Sit up Kammy." She went to the head rest sitting above Kamala, her legs at her sides
She gave her daughter a weary but amused look, the term 'Kammy' bringing back fond memories. "Hey, I'm not an old woman, you know," she protested, but she complied, straightening up in her seat."And what does it have to do with anything?" She started massaging her shoulders
Her protests died on her lips as her daughter's hands began to work their magic. Her shoulders were indeed very tense, and the gentle touch of her daughter's fingers was a welcome relief. "Oh, that's good," she murmured, her eyes drifting shut. "I didn't realize how tight my shoulders were."
The feeling of her daughter's hands working out the knots and tension in her shoulders was heavenly. It had been far too long since she'd allowed herself to be taken care of like this, and a sense of deep relaxation began to wash over her. She hummed softly in contentment, her eyes remaining closed.
"Mummy not again. I told you to told me when it gets bad again." She used force to massage out the knots
She winced slightly as her daughter's fingers hit a particularly stubborn knot, her brow furrowing. "I know, I know," she admitted with a sigh. "But I'm fine, really. I just...I didn't want to worry you."
"You might not be old, but you are a fool"
She chuckled at the bluntness of her daughter's words, amused despite herself. "A fool, huh? Says the one who took a bullet for me."
She massage her back
As her daughter's hands worked their way down her back, the muscles there began to loosen and relax. The tension that had been coiled tight in her shoulders had begun to unknot and ease. The pressure of her daughter's touch was soothing, almost hypnotic, and her eyes closed reflexively as she surrendered to the sensations.
Her daughter's hands were strong and sure, finding the hidden knots and tight muscles with ease. There was a sense of connection in the intimate act of her daughter taking care of her, a reminder of the deep bond they shared. She let out a soft groan as a particularly stubborn knotted muscle loosened under her daughter's touch. "God, that feels amazing," she murmured, her voice thick with appreciation and exhaustion.
"You have to be taken to all day care or something, you're neglecting your health and well-being." She worked through her muscles giving her back her full range of motionShe couldn't deny the truth in her daughter's words. Despite all her efforts to prioritize her health and self-care, it always seemed to take a backseat to her responsibilities and duties. "I'm not neglecting my health," she protested weakly, the lie sounding weak even to her own ears.
"You ARE neglecting your health and you're lying to your favourite daughter."
She let out a weary sigh, her resistance fading under her daughter's unyielding gaze. "You're my only daughter, sweetheart," she pointed out, a hint of a smile curving her lips. "And yes, alright, I might have been a little...lax...in taking care of myself."
"I am the only and favourite one even better. It does not the change the fact that i don't like being lied to"
She cringed a little, guilt prickling at her conscious. "You're right, you're right. I shouldn't have lied, and I apologize. It's just...it's been a hectic few weeks, and I guess I just didn't want to add anything more to your plate, especially since you were the one in the hospital in the first place."
