As it turns out, a normal living being's capacity to store quantum energy is limited.

Peter, however, could clearly see this "balance point."

If he pushed past that threshold, the quantum energy he injected would start harming them again, reverting back to the effects of Quantum Stinger attacks.

Peter instructed the brown-paper vulture and the others to stay in the quantum space for now, promising to take them out for some fresh air when the time was right.

As for food—strangely, this didn't seem to be an issue in the Quantum Realm. Ever since they entered, the only energy consumption they had experienced was from the quantum energy Peter had provided.

Of course, Peter made sure to check in from time to time, just to confirm this was truly the case.

After setting things in order, Peter took Gwen with him. After some searching, he opened a new quantum passage and stepped inside.

Another Spider-Man's world.

Peter Parker was riding high on a wave of success.

Ever since he had accidentally acquired a black suit, everything in his life had quietly improved.

The man who had killed his Uncle Ben—Flint Marko—had been personally thrown into the sewer by him. Sure, Peter had no idea how the guy had turned into some sort of living sand creature, but did it really matter? Peter Parker certainly didn't care.

Then there was Harry Osborn, his former best friend who had stolen Mary Jane from him. Peter had handled that situation perfectly as well—first by beating him up, then by tossing one of Harry's own bombs right back at him. He figured even if Harry survived, he wouldn't be walking away unscathed.

His career was flourishing, too.

Eddie Brock, who had been faking photos to smear him, not only got dust thrown in his eyes but also had his deception exposed. J. Jonah Jameson fired him on the spot—permanently.

Ha! That guy totally deserved it!

On top of that, Peter even managed to squeeze double the salary out of JJJ, along with a full-time position. With that extra income, he could finally support Aunt May. He could even renew the lease on the house he had grown up in, making sure she could move back.

To celebrate his newfound success, he finally bought that discounted shirt he had been eyeing for ages but couldn't afford before (I'm crying).

Of course, all of this was just an appetizer.

What truly brought him joy was what he was doing right now.

He was at a bar called Passion Lounge.

It had a classy atmosphere—but Peter Parker was in an even better mood.

For one, he was on a date with a beautiful girl he had only recently met. Her name was Gwen Stacy (using "Stacy" here for differentiation, not a typo), and she was a fashion model.

Not long ago, she had almost fallen to her death when a construction tool went out of control, but Spider-Man had swooped in just in time to save her.

Later, at the city's "Key to the City" ceremony, she had even kissed Spider-Man in front of everyone—though she had no idea that Spider-Man was actually Peter.

Still, that didn't stop him from feeling a growing affection for her.

And secondly—his ex-girlfriend, Mary Jane.

After losing her job at the theater, she had ended up working at this very bar.

Tonight, he was going to show that woman exactly what she had lost!
