Peter withdrew his hand and lightly tapped his toes, leaping back up to stand beside Gwen.

"Is he dead?" Gwen asked, looking down below.

Peter frowned, hesitating before replying, "I'm not sure."

From what he knew about the original storyline, there were only two effective ways to kill a symbiote. One was through a powerful explosion—like how the Venom suit was destroyed by a pumpkin bomb in Tobey Spider-Man's universe. The other was by being consumed by another symbiote—like how Venom once devoured Carnage.

But this method, using a quantum venom sting to eliminate a symbiote, was something Peter was experimenting with for the first time.

So, he wasn't entirely sure if it had worked.

Thinking about it, he picked up a rock and hurled it down with force.

Boom!

The Carnage statue shattered instantly, and soon after, a quantum collapse phenomenon occurred, erasing it completely.

In just a few moments, the only thing left behind was an empty, hollow bell.

"Peter, he's dead," Tobey Spider-Man suddenly called out.

Peter turned toward the voice and saw Tobey Spider-Man crouching beside the mutated Garfield Spider-Man.

"Dead?" Peter walked over, reaching out to check for breathing. Then, he pressed his fingers against the neck—there was no response at all.

"Did we... accidentally kill him by forcibly pulling him out?" Peter asked in confusion.

Gwen also crouched down to examine him, then shook her head. "He must have been dead for a long time already."

"What do you mean?" Peter asked.

Gwen explained, "Look, some areas of his body already show signs of livor mortis, and his blood has almost completely coagulated."

Peter was shocked. "So, this whole time... Carnage was just using his corpse as a vessel?"

Gwen nodded, her expression heavy.

Peter reached out and held her hand.

"I'm fine," Gwen forced a small smile.

The tragic fate of this universe's Peter Parker made her heart ache just thinking about it.

Turning against his best friend and personally killing him.

Watching his lover die before his eyes.

Losing his most beloved family member, who passed away in grief.

Falling to the opposite side of society, transforming from a hero into a villain.

And in the end, even he himself died a meaningless death at Carnage's hands, reduced to nothing but nourishment for the symbiote, perishing in an unknown world.

Gwen couldn't bear the thought any longer. She turned and hugged Peter tightly.

Peter sighed softly, deactivating his Vibranium suit, and whispered a few words of comfort.

Suddenly, Tobey Spider-Man's voice broke the silence. "His body is starting to distort."

Peter quickly turned his head and saw that the corpse of the mutated Garfield Spider-Man was also experiencing quantum collapse.

Gwen spoke urgently, "Can we send him back? Back to his own world?"

Peter nodded. "Piece of cake."

Stepping forward, he channeled a bit of quantum energy into the body.
