"Huh?"

"You know, from the movie Mean Girls. It came out in..." You stop to nibble on your bottom lip, looking anxious for a moment, and your voice briefly drops to a whisper. "It did already come out, right...?"

Everyone blinks in confusion, but you clear your throat, regaining your confidence.

"I mean-yeah! It totally did! It came out last year. Seriously, none of you have seen it yet? It's awesome. It'll definitely go on to become a classic."

"What's it about?" Shoko asks.

"It's about a bunch of teenage girls being really awful to each other."

"That sounds boring and lame," Satoru fake-yawns.

"Wow. Belittling my interests and acting like my opinion means nothing." You sigh loudly, rolling your eyes. "You're definitely a Regina."

Although it kind of sucks that hardly anyone ever understands your references, and you're limited in what you even can reference, all things considered, this is a good life. With the existence of Gojo Satoru, until Sukuna started wreaking havoc, you suppose things weren't quite as hectic for jujutsu sorcerers. It also helps that you have Satoru by your side, practically every minute of every day. As things stand, you're more likely to accidentally kill yourself then die from being attacked by a cursed spirit. It isn't easy constantly having such dark thoughts in the back of your mind, even if you do your best to hide it from everyone else.

Still. You'd be lying if you said you weren't happy, nevertheless.

"Man, come on," Satoru whines, repeatedly tugging on your arm. "You're not actually going to do homework, are you?"

"Yes, I am," you say, and you break apart from him yet again to sit down at your desk, completely unbothered. "You can stay if you want. But only if you're going to be quiet. If you plan on distracting me, please leave."

Suguru chuckles, as amused as ever, which predictably, just annoys Satoru even more. It looks like everyone is staying in your room now for a joint homework session. Shoko tries poking you a few times so that you do her homework for her (she proudly insists that she's lazy, for some reason), but you politely refuse. She'll go on to become a trained doctor in the future. Or at least, she should. Taking short-cuts right now certainly won't do her any favors.

Everyone is now diligently completing their assignment. Well, everyone other than Satoru, who refuses to do any work and grabs a random Cosmopolitan magazine from your bookshelf instead. To be honest, you don't really know why you even have that. It must be Fushiguro's.

"78 ways to turn him on," Satoru recites monotonously, staring at the cover for half a second before flipping through the pages.

...yeah, it's definitely Fushiguro's.

Suguru rolls his eyes, then leans closer to you. "I'm guessing you've already solved this question, right? Do you mind taking a look? I think I messed up somewhere."

"Sure," you smile. You turn your head towards him, which makes the lack of distance between you that much more prominent. Suguru stiffens up a bit, and although he tries not to let it show, he finds himself unintentionally recalling a certain... incident. Perhaps Satoru's ill-timed words helped jog his memory a bit.

He just hopes his face isn't as red as it feels.

"Tease him and please him," Satoru reads aloud.

"Quit it with that, already!" Suguru hisses. His face is definitely red now. "Stop reading that pointless garbage!"

"But I can't stop reading. I still have 75 different ways to learn. And some of these tips are pretty interesting, so I'm kind of curious how-"
