You've never had to face off against a Domain Expansion before. To be honest, you weren't really prepared for this. You can't help but feel like it's too soon. You're nowhere near as powerful as you'd like to be, and you certainly didn't expect to encounter such a powerful opponent, so early on.

But that was naive of you. Jujutsu Kaisen is far from forgiving. Sometimes, it's easy to forget, because your days are filled with so much laughter and joy, but this is a harsh, cruel world. You knew from the start that this wasn't going to be easy. And you promised yourself that you wouldn't get discouraged, no matter what.

Fuck it, then. It's time to kick some ass.

You take another few steps forward, tightly gripping your sword. You just canceled all of your cursed energy again. The spider spirit looks surprised to see your energy drop to zero, in the blink of an eye. As much as you'd like to charge straight at it and slice its creepy-looking head off as quickly as possible, you don't know what the conditions of its domain are yet. If you run in blind, you might be the one who ends up losing their head.

"Prey can heal itself," the spirit hisses venomously. "Irritating. Good prey should stay put and accept death. Caught in my web. Time to die."

All of a sudden, you feel one of your feet being rooted to the ground. You furrow your brows as you look down. Sure enough, there are cobwebs tethering you in place. The spider spirit didn't even have to move in order to tangle you up in its web. That must be the domain's guaranteed-hit effect. It's a technique meant to immobilize you, leaving you helpless to defend yourself.

You slash at the webs with your sword. Unfortunately, it does nothing. They refuse to break apart. You keep slashing and slashing, but the webs thicken and multiply. They're already creeping up your leg. At this rate, it'll only be a matter of time before they surround your entire body. Luckily, the spirit isn't attacking you yet. It seems to be enjoying this, as it watches with a look of delight in its many eyes.

The webs only appeared underneath my feet. They're not spawning in from anywhere else. Do they grow from the ground up?

"Weak little prey," the spider spirit cackles. "You say not weak? You are weak. Death now. Death, death!"

"No, not death," you sigh, and you grit your teeth, mentally preparing yourself for what you're about to do. "Fuck, this is going to hurt so bad..."

The spirit gives you a curious look, probably wondering what you plan on doing next.

You seriously doubt it was expecting you to sever your own leg, though.

It hurts. It hurts to the point that it's almost unimaginable, but just as quickly as the pain appears, it's gone. The time it takes for you to regenerate an entire new leg is almost instantaneous, and the spirit outright gapes at you as you lunge at it-this time, channeling all your cursed energy to propel you forward.

You suppress your cursed energy at the very last second, just like you did when you were practicing with Toji. The momentum carries you forward fast enough that you manage to bridge the distance and slice one of the spirit's arms off. It lets out an agonized, overly-exaggerated wail, considering you literally just inflicted that same kind of injury upon yourself. Like, dramatic much?

Shit. That wasn't enough.

The spirit jumps backwards, then proceeds to mash its fangs together in frustration. "Foolish prey. Think you are the only one who can heal? Think... again."

Of course it can heal. Using reverse cursed technique comes far more naturally to cursed spirits than humans. It can't even be considered a brag, really. Nevertheless, slicing off one of its limbs won't do the trick. The injury has to be fatal. Will it still be able to survive, like Jogo did, even if you dismember its head?
