She couldn't help but stare in awe as they flew high and the powerful warrior struck arrows on the bodies of her enemies, skillfully striking with no mistakes. A sight she admired deeply. Then when her mouth opened wide into a screech and she began diving down did Vareya realize what had the woman so frightened. A demon had one of the largest guns she'd ever seen pointed directly at Jake.

Vareya wasted no time, desperately urging her tsurak to hurry. Just as she heard the command to fire, she let out her own yell as she shot two arrows. One at the attacker, and the other one at the director of the ship. It didn't take long for the boat to lose control and crash into another fellow ship, causing another explosion as they collided.

For the short seconds Neteyams parents looked at her, she could've sworn the disapproval simmered slightly. But that didn't matter right now, not to any of them. They were at war with the enemies they've brought over, and there were far more important things at hand.

Especially when amidst all the chaos she had yet to catch sight of Neteyam, and the longer she went without sight of him the tighter she felt her chest get. The harder it was to breathe.

Her plan continued, diving again she headed straight for the ship, still avoiding the stray bullets that flew past her. With her heart beating rapidly, as she was nearing where her cousin was being held hostage, she halted abruptly. Watching closely, she had suddenly realized that the giant craft began to move forward. Under the water, she watched from below as the massive vessel sped over her before running into a large rock, taking air momentarily, and then crashing back down atop the oceans surface.

Fire and disaster were what took place atop the deck, showing something that wasn't supposed to happen took place only moments ago. Whether that was to their advantage or not was what she needed to figure out, but either way she needed to get the demons only advantages off of their hands.

When she was ready to continue on with no more delays, the biggest one of all had her freezing in the middle of all the madness. Had her completely forgetting the flying bullets and explosions around her.

Vareya forgot about it all because she finally saw him. Finally caught a glimpse of his figure darting through the debris and towards his siblings, just as she expected. She was finally able to let out the worried breath she was holding, was finally able to gain some composure.

Neteyam. He was alright. He was safe. He was well. But he was going headfirst into the demons hands. Able to breathe just a bit easier she darted in his direction, stared at him as he hopped off his Ilu, onto the ship, and disappeared from sight once more.

She hissed, urging the creature below her to give his final push and hurry forward. She was lucky she did so, they all were. Because the moment she exited the water, she came into direct eye contact with an Avatar pointing a gun at the clueless group.

Vareya wasted no time readying her bow and letting the arrow fly, the weapon hitting her targets chest. That was enough to get the attention of the Sully's and her cousin.

Needless to say Neteyams face was nothing short of the representation of bewilderment and shock, for his eyes widened and stayed staring at her. Completely distracting him from his job of freeing his brother.

She on the other hand was too anxious to tease him for his looks, too terrified to do anything but rush to leave this chaos. So as she unsheathed her knife and began cutting her cousins hands free, she heard him say, " Vareya? W-what are you doing here?"

Lo'ak himself seemed to be just like her, because he instantly cut in, " C'mon! Get us loose."

Vareya went to work on Tuk as he freed his brother, and although she didn't take much liking to the girl, her frightened face was enough to bring her back to a familiar place. One she knew all too well.
