Changes in POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tsireya watched in horror at what she was currently witnessing. She had seen her cousin connect her queue with a soul that was no longer existent, saw her do something as unimaginable as changing her body features. Her beautiful violet eyes now ghostly white and opened wide, staring into nothing.
As she sat there beside them, she still felt as if what was before her wasn't real. That somehow, watching Neteyams death affected her so much that she had suddenly begun to hallucinate.
Yet as more time passed with Vareya sitting upright, seemingly frozen in time, she realized that it must be real. Tsireya had always known her cousin was different, special. She was surrounded by rumors of her since she could remember.
They were chats about how she secretly feasts on Na'vi, which is why they have to keep her away from everyone else. Another was that she turns into a beast every night, one that preyed on small children. Then there was the real talk between adults stating she wasn't raised correctly, which meant she was not mentally stable enough to handle relationships.
As a young girl Tsireya wasn't sure which one was true, but she was almost smart enough to assume the earlier two sounded completely ridiculous. Yet it seems that she was wrong.
Because while her cousin looks nothing close to a beast, her ethereal transformation is a transformation nonetheless. How that was possible? She wasn't sure. Didn't even have a clue.
What seemed like hours passed as she waited for something to happen, waited for someone to come back, waited for Vareya to snap out of whatever trance she was in. Tsireya had to stop herself several times from shaking her cousin awake, from disconnecting the bond she had made with Neteyam by force.
Yet every time Vareyas strict voice would enter her mind, 'do not interfere'.
So she did as she was told, following directions by letting Vareya do whatever it was she had to and not once allowing her firm grip on Neteyams hand to falter.
Then finally something happened, but her quick relief was short lived. Because her cousins chest began to rise and fall at a rapid pace, and her eyes began to drop tears of blood. She watched in terror as Vareyas body suddenly went limp, watched as all life and light exited her.
" Vareya!" She screeched as her cousins body collapsed. No no no. This couldn't be. Not both of them. Not like this.
What worried her more, was that on the small and slippery rock, with the constant waves still pounding against them, the momentum of her fall sent her body into the ocean.
Tsireya was about to jump in after her, yet stopped when despite the darkness of eclipse, she saw a large shadow beneath the oceans surface. It could've been a submarine trying to escape, it could've been a demon on their way to Neteyam.
And in a split decision, she made the tough choice to stay with the Sully boy. They could take him, they were more his enemies then theirs. She now understood the amount of evil stored within those humans, and now Tsireya wouldn't be suprised if they dared to take Neteyams body hostage to lure Jake to them. She watched as Vareyas limp figure slowly floated deeper and deeper into the ocean until she was out of sight, Tsireyas tears clouding her vision. She wanted to save her, wished Lo'ak stayed so he could help her save them both. Yet alone she felt helpless. Couldn't help but wonder if the roles were reversed, if Vareya, as strong and intelligent as she was, would've figured out a way to accomplish it.
Would've found a way to get it done while Tsireya could only sit in fear with tears streaming down her face, completely unknowing whether her cousin was alive or not. Simply praying for help so that someone can retrieve her body as quickly as possible.
