Chapter 63

Twenty-four hours had passed, but Zarmeena was still unconscious. Though the doctors were satisfied with her condition and assured that all her vitals were stable, their reassurance was not enough for Salaar. Each passing minute added to his restlessness, and along with that, he was desperately waiting for someone.

Warda, who was sitting beside him, could clearly see the anxiety building inside him. It was evident from his face.

"Salaar, she is alright. Stop stressing yourself," Warda said. She could not bear to see her son so obsessed with a girl who had brought nothing but trouble into his life.

"Mom, I don't know... unless she wakes up and is back to her normal self, I will not be at ease," Salaar retorted.

Warda wanted to argue further, but she held back her words when she saw Dadi and Zareena approaching. Salaar immediately stood up and walked toward them. The moment Zareena learned about her daughter's condition, she broke into tears.

"Aunty..." Salaar gently placed his hands on her shoulders and bent slightly, looking into her eyes.

"Aunty, please look at me."

Zareena slowly shifted her tearful gaze toward him.

"It's over now. Trust me, she is alright, just unconscious. I called you because it is your right to know about your daughter," Salaar said, still holding her, his eyes searching hers, hoping she would believe his words.

Zareena nodded.

"Salaar, I want to see her." She knew that only seeing her daughter would bring peace to her aching heart. She had once bound herself with a vow, but now she realized how much her heart longed to see Zarmeena.

"Okay, but just wait a little longer. They are shifting her to a private room," Salaar reassured her, still concerned for his mother-in-law.

From a distance, Warda watched, fuming. In just a few moments, her melancholic son had forgotten everything and was now standing there, consoling this woman. Her Salaar, who always kept people at a distance, had lowered himself just to appease this girl's family.

"Shut up, Warda," she scolded herself internally. "This woman is innocent. She is just a mother, devastated over her daughter, who barely escaped death."

Taking a deep breath, Warda stepped forward and embraced Zareena as a gesture of greeting.

"Don't worry, Zareena, your daughter is okay now," Warda said in an attempt to console her. After all, She wasn't ready to step down from the high pedestal where Salaar had placed his mother in his heart. For now, she simply put on a polite smile.

Zareena nodded and gave a sad smile in return.

"I am so thankful to all of you for what you did for my Zaro," Zareena said apologetically, unable to meet their eyes. She was genuinely grateful for their kindness, especially after what Zarmeena had done to Salaar. But she was unaware that Warda never forgave those who hurt her children.
" Oh Zareena what are you saying.. Zarmeena is not only your daughter but also daughter in law of our house..." Dadi Shameen politely took the burden of gratitude from her shoulders..

A short while later, a nurse arrived to inform them that Zarmeena had been shifted to a private room.

Salaar was heading toward the private room with Dadi and Aunty Zareena when they spotted Ahmed and Sajid sneaking out, their faces screaming busted!

"Oh, please, don't go inside now! She is-" Ahmed tried to warn them, but before he could finish, Salaar, sensing danger, bolted inside, followed by Dadi and Aunty Zareena. And that's when they got hit with The Blabbering Disaster.
