The next morning, Cassie was woken up by Flick climbing on her face - "Flick, get off." she mumbled rolling over but he kept tapping her head making her groan eventually waking up, showering and got dressed letting him climb on her shoulder as she walked to the hall.

"Morning, sleepy head." Sirius said when she sat in front of him, "Morning." she mumbles and Flick walked across the table and to Sirius - over Christmas Flick has grown to like him. "We have DADA first." Remus mumbles, "Are you alright, Remus?" she asked him - "Does he fucking look alright?" Peter snapped at her making her frown making Remus glare at him.

"I'm fine, thank you Cass." Remus smiled at her but they didn't know what Cassie already knew what is up with him, she didn't say anything because he hasn't told her so she will just wait until he is ready to tell her.

As they walked inside of the DADA classroom, Professor Riddle was already in there but it seems only Cassie knew he was in a bad mood - "He's in a bad mood." she mumbles to Sirius as they sat down at their desks, "Sit down and open your books to 268." he said his voice going over the students who wouldn't stop talking but they soon did.

'Legilimency and Occlumency - know the difference'

"The fuck is this?" Sirius whispers to Cassie who shrugged, "This Sirius Black is what you're going to be learning and knowing the difference can make a difference later on in your life." Professor Riddle said making some students chuckle.

"Erm, Professor. Why do we need to know the difference?" Cassie asked him, but he didn't answer her and carried on with the lesson, even after the lesson she walked out laughing at something James said making Tom glare at him - like really glare.

"Come on, Cassie. Help us." James whined, "No sorry. Got a library date with Lily and the girls." Cassie said just as Lily walked up to them and smiled before taking Cassie's arm and went to the library with the girls.

"I'll be back in a second." Cassie smiled putting her bag down before going to find the books she needs, "Interesting book." a voice said making her jump.

"Merlin. Professor - you scared me." she said putting a hand on her chest, "You're in a bad mood. Are you alright?" she asked him, he looked around and noticed her friends were deep in their homework.

"How is it at the Potter's?" he asked her, "Oh good." she said turning around and looked up at the bookshelf still talking knowing he was still there, "Better than ever actually." she added trying to get a book but due to her height, she couldn't reach it.

Tom towering over her - he leaned up getting the book and leaning back as she turned around, "Thanks." she grinned but he didn't move, he saw every inch of her face, every scar from her parents - if you want to call them that - the light back in her eyes, the smile that reaches her eyes, she beautiful to him.

He cleared his throat and stood back, "Professor, why were you at the house that night?" she asked him, "My father wanted me there." he shrugged. "So your view haven't changed?" she asked him when he just looked at her. "I get it. This is who you are." she sighed going to walk away back to her table with her friends.

"Detention, tonight. After dinner, my office." he told her as he walked by her, "What? What for?" she asked him as she never got detention in her life. "Because I said so." he said firmly looking between her and her friends before walking out of the library.

"I've never gotten detention in my life and I said thanks to him for getting the book I couldn't reach and got detention?!" Cassie whisper exclaimed making Marlene laugh, an hour later they went to Transfiguration and she told the boys - minus Peter everything that had happened in the library as it still really confused her.

Minnie heard her conversation with the Marauders and needed to speak to her later about it, Cassie loves this lesson, after this she has a free afternoon and she plans on doing something is will get her expelled if caught so she has a place to go where no one will find her - hopefully.

Just like that - the lesson was up and she went off to the Room of Requirement, sat on the floor and took what she needed to do - 'Wolfsbane Potion.' it read, she grinned and worked hard for the rest of the day to not get this wrong.

However she wouldn't know if it works until the next full moon which is tomorrow, so she snuck out the castle and went to the Shrieking Shake and placed it where only he could see it with a note but left no name and went back to the castle just in time for some dinner.

"Hey where have you been?" Alice asked her, "Somewhere to do my homework without someone taking it." she smiled looking at Sirius making Alice laugh, "Yeah he has a habit of doing that." she agreed and straight after dinner instead of going to the common room, she went to Professor's Riddle's office - she knocked on and waited for him to answer it.

"Come in." she heard him say, she opened the door popping her head in first and saw him sitting at his desk, she cleared her throat fully standing in the room shuttin the door - "Miss. Carrow, sit down." he said pointing to the desk in front of him and she did what she was told looking confused as to why she is there.

"Before you start, I need to say something." he said making her nod but didn't say anything waiting for him to talk, "I'm nothing like my father. I have different views and what have you. I also want to apoligize for sending you a letter whilst you were at home." he said in one breath.

"Oh, it's okay. I was wondering how you knew where I was unless Minnie spoke to you." she said ignoring the first bit, "and I never said you were like your father, I just don't agree with your views on the fact you don't think muggle-born and half bloods should do magic." she told him.

"I never said that." he counters, "But you have never protected them against whoever say absolutely vile things about them either and yet here you are teaching them to protect themselves." she countered, just like he thought - her eyes glowed a gorgeous white.

"Don't let your anger get the best of you." he said finally her eyes went back to normal, "Is this my detention? A debate?" she asked him going back to her usual self.

For the next hour they asked each other questions, surprisingly she made him laugh with the same dad joke James told her the first time he met her.

"Cassandra, that's terrible." he said snickering watching her laugh, "James told me that the first time we met, I couldn't stop laughing then." she told him when she calmed down.

He watched her with adoration, the way her eyes shine when she laughs really hard or when she wipes a tear from her eye that was threatening to fall from laughing to hard.

"I best go, got double DADA tomorrow." she said standing up, "Are they your only lessons?" he asked her watching, "No, got potions but after 3pm I've got nothing. Good night, Professor." she said walking out the room and straight to the common room.
