Avery pulled something out his pocket and passed it Rosier, "know what this is?" he asked her lifting it vile up showing her.

"Love potion." she answers him breathing heavily, "Very good. It will make anyone completely devoted to the person who made it." Rosier said as the two of them walked closer to her.

In a blink of an eye Avery held her tightly around the waist as Rosier opened the vile going to pure it down her throat but what they didn't except was for her to scratch Rosier's face so deeply she drew blood.

Obviously he screamed dropping the vile breaking, she managed to get out of Avery's grip and ran out the room with tears running down her face as she ran into Tom's office.

"Cass -" he stopped talking when he saw her face and got up immediately to go hug her tightly, she wrapped her arms around his neck still crying and hyperventilating - "Shh, it's okay." he whispers hoping to calm her down just enough to apparate them to his living quarters.

It did but it took 5 minutes, "What happened?" he asked not letting go of her - "Avery and Rosier, they trapped me in a room and tried to force love potion down my throat but I scratched his face and ran out." she told him.

"They what? Where were your friends?" he asked her, "I was with them outside but I followed Lily inside after Snape called her a mudblood. I wanted to make sure she was okay." She told him sniffling.

"I also punched Snape. Not all of that is Rosier's blood." she mumbles when he looked at her hands - "Did your eyes glow?" he asked her, she just shook her head no.

"I wasn't angry. I was scared, Tom. I was so scared, I felt like I was back at the Carrow house before they..." she couldn't finish her sentence as he hugged her once again, now he's felt her in his arms - he constantly wants her there.

"I need to speak to Dumbledore about this." Tom said gently putting his hands on her face, "Why not McGonagall? She's my head of house." she asked, "Because Dumbledore's headmaster and probably that squeaky woman is with McGonagall." he told reminds her.

"Oh yeah. I always go to Min." she said, "I need to speak to James and the rest of them." she added yawing - "Stay here. I'll wake up before dinner." he told her.

"That's inappropriate, sir." she said getting comfortable on his bed and fell asleep without another word, he looked at her amused and left to go find McGonagall.

He eventually found scolding the Marauders for what they done to Snape, "Ah Tom. Do you know where Cassie is?" she asked him, "No, I saw her running not long about with blood on her hands, why?" he asked looking at the boys.

"We've had a disturbing report that there was an incident involving her and another student." she told him - he knew what that was about, "We need to get her side of the story." Umbridge said making all of them sigh.

"Who is the other student?" Tom asked, "Rosier." McGonagall said walking away from them - "She's fine. She's asleep, she told me everything what has happened." Tom told them before they could even ask.

A few hours went by and Cassie woke up still feeling exhausted, "Hey. How are you feeling?" Tom asked her when he noticed her sitting up slowly, "Could be better but I'm fine. Thank you." she smiled slightly.

"I best go." she mutters going to stand up, "Why do you do that?" he asked her, "Do what?" she asked tilting her side to the side looking at him.

"The second you start feeling comfortable here with me, you want to leave." he said standing up, "It's not you if that's what you're thinking - it's literally a defence mechanism, every time I got close to something or someone growing up it got ripped away from me." she told him.

"The only reason I'm close the my friends is because they are relentless and I'm glad they didn't give up on me because I would've homeless and miserable but I have a family now. I can't do what you want me to do because I don't know how!" she said getting louder.

"You think I can? You think this is easy for me? To see you everyday and not do anything? Then I hear you're in a relationship with him and fucks everything up that I've tried to bury?! I can't bury it any more!" he countered.

"I'm not in a relationship with Fabian it was to keep Rosier away from me! It worked until Snape decided to be mean to Lily, we won't work anyway!" she yelled getting frustrated.

"Why not?!" he yelled, "Because we're different! I don't want a brewing war, I don't want to lose my family, I don't want to lose my friends, I don't want to lose you but you..." she laughed a little.

"But you and your stupid beliefs and their beliefs that only pure bloods should do magic is completely ridiculous!" she added, "I don't believe in any of that, not anymore! and don't even compare me to them we both know I'll kill them in a blink of an eye." Tom matched her tone.

"Don't you see? We don't see eye to eye even if it's what we both want. One of us will end up leaving to return to what we believe is the right side, I'm not leaving mine." she said in a lower but softer voice this time.

"I'll never leave you, Cassie if you want to run away fuck I'll run with you - if anything happens to you I'll burn this world down just make sure you're safe back with me." he said looking in her eyes taking her hand gently, she saw nothing but the truth he never lies to her or so she hopes anyway.

"You'll never lie to me?" she asked him, "Never." he answered her, "then tell me why Gellert Grindelwald was standing behind you when I came to see you." she said looking up.

He looked at her, he desperately wanted to tell her but he can't. He went to open his mouth but no words came out, "You can't tell me?" she asked calmly and he shook his head no.

"Just like you and why you can't tell me why you became an animagus." he said, "Can you tell me soon?" she asked still not looking away from him.

"Soon." he said not wanting to meet move away, he decided totally take his chance and kiss her so leaned down slowly giving her a chance to back away but she didn't - their lips were about to touch but it was ruined by a knock on his door.
