The television flickered in front of him, its dim glow casting soft shadows along the walls. The volume was low, a movie playing that he wasn't really watching. Some action flick-explosions, gunfire, intense stares-but none of it registered.

Hanwool sat slouched on the long sofa, one arm draped lazily over the backrest, the other resting over his stomach. His legs stretched out in front of him, ankles crossed, his entire posture radiating ease.

But his mind?

Restless.

He wasn't sure why.

Maybe it was the quiet. Maybe it was the way the night seemed unusually still. Or maybe it was something else entirely-something he couldn't put a name to.

Then-

The door swung open. Without knocking, as usual. Hanwool didn't even flinch. He knew who it was before even looking.

Minwhan.

The idiot strolled in like he owned the place, lazily tossing his bucket hat onto the table before collapsing onto the couch next to Hanwool with a long, dramatic sigh.

"You never lock your damn door," Minwhan muttered, stretching his arms behind his head like he had all the time in the world.

Hanwool didn't even spare him a glance.

"You never knock."

Minwhan smirked, clearly unbothered. "Yeah, yeah. Anyway, got some interesting news."

Hanwool barely reacted, eyes still on the screen, though he wasn't really paying attention to the movie anymore.

"Don't care."

"Yeah, you do."

Hanwool sighed through his nose. "Then talk faster."

Minwhan hummed, as if considering it, clearly enjoying dragging things out.

"You heard about the reserve test?"

Hanwool blinked.

Now that caught his attention. He slowly turned his head toward Minwhan, his expression unreadable.

"What about it?"

Minwhan grinned. "It got interesting."

Hanwool raised an eyebrow. "Since when does watching a bunch of morons get beat up interest you?"

"Since the study group crashed it."

Hanwool stilled for a fraction of a second before his fingers resumed tapping lazily against the sofa's armrest.

"The study group?"

"Yep."

"All of them?"

Minwhan snorted. "Nah, just Yoon Gamin, his sister, Hyunwoo's twin, and that teacher's son."

Hanwool leaned back slightly, his fingers tapping in a slower, more deliberate rhythm against the couch.

"Tch. Figures."

Minwhan tilted his head, eyeing him with interest. "You sound annoyed."

"I'm not."

Minwhan smirked. "Right. Anyway, they didn't just show up-they fought."

Hanwool remained silent, waiting for him to continue.

Minwhan's smirk widened slightly. "And guess who looked badass as hell covered in bruises?"
