Hanwool sat at his desk, elbows resting on the surface, one hand lazily holding up his head as he stared at nothing in particular.

The classroom was mostly empty since it was their vacant period, with only a few students lingering around—some talking in groups, others half-asleep at their desks.

It was peaceful.

And boring.

Hanwool exhaled slowly, tapping his fingers against the desk in a slow rhythm, debating whether he should take a nap or skip entirely.

Then—

His phone buzzed.

A message from Minwhan.

Minwhan:
You should come to the back lot. Something interesting is happening.

Hanwool clicked his tongue, already half-annoyed before even reading the next message.

Minwhan:
It involves Gaeun.

Hanwool’s fingers froze mid-tap.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at the text. Then tapped out a quick response.

Hanwool:
Not interested.

Minwhan’s reply came almost instantly.

Minwhan:
Lmao, yeah you are. Hurry up before you miss the fun.

Hanwool rolled his eyes.

He should ignore it.

He really should.

But the moment Minwhan had mentioned Gaeun’s name, something in him itched.

An irritation he couldn’t quite place.

With a deep sigh, Hanwool shoved his phone back into his pocket and stood up, making his way out of the classroom without another word.

Because whether he wanted to admit it or not—

Minwhan was probably right. Again.

The second Hanwool stepped into the back lot, his expression darkened.

A small crowd had gathered, forming a loose half-circle around three familiar figures.

Gaeun.
Gamin.
Jiwoo.

And across from them—

Kang Taeoh.

Hanwool’s fingers twitched inside his pockets.

Of course it was him.

That arrogant second-year bastard who thought he was untouchable.

Minwhan was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, watching the scene like it was a free movie. He grinned the moment he spotted Hanwool approaching.

"Took you long enough."

Hanwool didn’t respond.

His eyes were locked on Gaeun. And the moment she turned her head and met his gaze—

He knew.

She was pissed. Not her usual, mildly irritated kind of pissed. Genuinely, silently pissed.

"You talk too much," Gaeun muttered, voice flat and unimpressed.

Kang Taeoh’s smirk widened. "And you act too bold for someone who just got their ass handed to them yesterday."

Jiwoo rolled her eyes.
